Uncompromising Performance and Protection
As a paramedic, my job demands comfort, reliability, and durability in every step I take. That's why I can confidently give the Merrell Men's Moab 2 hiking shoes a resounding five-star review. These shoes have truly been a lifesaver for me on countless emergency calls, long shifts, and challenging terrains.First and foremost, the comfort level of the Moab 2 is unmatched. When you're on your feet for hours on end, responding to emergencies and navigating unpredictable environments, having supportive footwear is paramount. The shoes' cushioning provides excellent shock absorption, reducing fatigue and strain on my feet, even during extended periods of standing or brisk walking. One of the standout features of the Moab 2 is its exceptional grip. As a paramedic, I often find myself treading through slippery surfaces, uneven terrain, and even climbing over obstacles. These shoes offer incredible traction on various surfaces, from wet pavements to rugged outdoor landscapes, ensuring I maintain stability and confidence with every step. The Vibram outsole is a game-changer, delivering reliable traction and grip, especially in emergency situations where time is critical.Durability is another key factor that sets the Moab 2 apart. These shoes are built to withstand the demanding conditions that come with emergency medical services. Whether it's navigating debris-filled areas or enduring harsh weather, the Moab 2 stands strong, providing long-lasting performance without compromising on comfort. The reinforced toe cap and heel counter add an extra layer of protection, safeguarding my feet from potential impacts. Moreover, the Moab 2 incorporates breathability features that keep my feet cool and dry, even during intense situations. The ventilated mesh lining prevents excessive sweating, reducing the chances of discomfort and odor buildup. This is crucial, especially during long shifts where foot hygiene is essential. In terms of fit and sizing, the Merrell Men's Moab 2 delivers a true-to-size experience. The shoes offer ample room in the toe box without sacrificing a secure fit around the heel and midfoot. This balance ensures that my feet remain stable, reducing the risk of blisters or discomfort during high-intensity movements. In conclusion, as a paramedic, the Merrell Men's Moab 2 has proven to be an indispensable asset. Its exceptional comfort, reliable grip, durability, and breathability make it a top choice for professionals like me who rely on their footwear to perform optimally in challenging environments. These shoes have truly become my lifesaver on the job, and I highly recommend them to fellow paramedics and anyone seeking footwear that excels in both performance and comfort.

Forest Approved
As an LEO that works in the Forest and a variety of environments in the Pacific Southwest Terrain, I found these boots extremely comfortable.Moving from an officer on the street to the Forest quickly showed me that danner and Bates no longer met my outdoor needs while on patrol.I typically like wide shoes and these fit great. They are a great all rounder for on pavement to dirt, to mud, to trails, and do ok with a quick dip in the stream. they’re not water proof and I’m sure you could spray them for more resistance.I attached photos of my new boots and old. The old boots were about 1.5 years. Never “cleaned” them except with a hose from time to time. I work in the Forest and they got dirty the moment I stepped in the dirt. I wore them every regular and OT shift for 16+ hour days and they were always comfortable.About a year in I put in a dr. Scholl’s sport insert that replaced the worn out soles. If I’m going through very rugged terrain or specifically going hiking I would change into my Merrill’s hiking boots that had a more aggressive tread and were lighter, but these I believe could keep up on moderate level trails. Again they’re a great all rounder. If time was an issue I wouldn’t hesitate to keep them on.I’ll keep buying

Great all around boots
I go through a lot of boots because I hike, walk a lot and work in my nursery while wearing boots. I previously ordered a pair of Free Soldier boots which were much less expensive and very comfortable but the soles didn't adequately support my feet over time. I re-developed plantar fasciitis. I decided to order these Merrell boots despite the cost and they change everything for me. I wear custom orthotics so I bought a size 12 boot for my 11 1/2 foot because of the added space they take up. The boots are extremely comfortable and easy to put on and take off, considering these are tall boots. Once you work them in a little, all you have to do is loosen the top two rows of laces, unzip the sides and pull the velcro strap back. When you put them back on you get a tight, secure fit and barely notice you have boots on your feet. They feel light but supportive and do the job on technical trails. They have been water tight for me so far and I wear them in all kinds of weather. I also where them in the dead of summer. Highly recommend.
