This is a tool you never thought you needed until you use it. I make flan in a water bath and I always had trouble removing the dish, either I stuck a finger in the flan or drug my potholder in the water. I saw this and no problem anymore. Now I use it all the time for moving hot dishes from the oven, stove or air fryer. Comfortable to use and feels sturdy in your hand. I never put it away!

I like the functionality but the quality isn't up to par. The metal is thin. If you grab dishes that are heavier then this grabber may not carry the weight. However it is fine for smaller light weight items.

I bought these to deal with the weight of cast iron coming out from an overhead access of a hot air fryer/grill. I tested them just yesterday with a meal and they felt so much more secure than the grips I'd purchased before with the silicone pad inserts that unfortunately pop out all the time. They handled the weight of the cast iron and its contents easily. As a design improvement, I wish they had a latch to that you could put them away them closed, because kitchen space is at a premium.

The Gripper Clips themselves seem to be first-rate! Shiny, easy to clean, angled just right to insert so I can pick up a scalding Instant Pot liner or other bowl/pan inside. Very handy. At first, I liked the thin little prong inside the "pliers" that seemed to help secure my Instant Pot liner when lifting, but when it bent and got hard to get the pot off, I deducted one star. That little part is not as solid as the rest of the ChirRay gripper clips.

I love this. It's sturdy, strong, reliable, easy to handle, and I've never even worried a bit about the plate or dish slipping out of its grip. I've only used it once with the IP, and it was fine, although two would have been better (to grip both sides of the pot) but using it for microwaved dishes is a piece of cake. Seriously, it's got a great grip!p.s. I have never received any invitation from anyone to review their product, and the same is true in this case. I bought it, I use it, I like it!
