Mas Des Bories AOC de Provence France 100% Extra Virgin Olive Oil (1 L)

I was so happy to receive the olive oil from France but I had to wait a few days to try it because the holidays were upon us and I was not cooking but going out a lot. Last night however, I had the time to cook and decided on a filet mignon with a coffee, brown sugar and smokey paprika rub. The oil itself is luxurious. In texture and in taste. My steak seared perfectly with a beautiful coating and the taste was out of this world. Magnifique! I cannot wait to return to France and visit this family and farm. I purchased the oil by doing a search on Amazon for products from France. I wanted to remember my honeymoon and give my family gifts from the region in which I traveled. I purchased three cans for the holidays, giving two away as gifts. My brother in law exclaimed when he opened it and told his wife, "This oil is like gold, please refrain from using it without me!". Thank you to the Derni Family for working so hard to produce such a great product. We are so happy to be able to buy this type of product from France on Amazon! Amazing!! As a northern New Yorker, I frequently shop for food in Montreal, Quebec. During a recent visit to one of my favorite European food stores on St. Laurent, the owner recommended I try the EVOO AOC from Mas Des Bories. We consume a lot of salad greens at home and I am always looking for the best tasting olive oil to dress the greens (you know, the kind they serve at good restaurants but you can never find for home consumption). Let me just say...my search is over. This olive oil is amazing...clean, flavorful, never bitter, and goes really well with a few squeezes of fresh lemon juice. In addition, the couple who produces the oil are extremely dedicated to producing and maintaining an extremely a high-quality product, and it is apparent in the quality of the oil. The customer service was amazing, as well (they even included a personal letter with our Amazon purchase!). I purchased the smaller bottles for holiday gift baskets and I plan to order the 1 quart containers for myself in the near future. This oil is worth every penny...you won't be disappointed!

This olive oil is delicious. It has an extremely smooth taste and very clean texture. It is not like the olive oils you buy here in the states. It is perfect for salads or delicate fish. The flavor is not particularly strong , but you can tell its of very high quality. The sellers of the oil are very friendly. I received a nice handwritten note from them . They live on a 12 acre farm in Provence France where this olive oil is sourced. So happy to receive an authentic product from such nice people. The oil has won a few awards, and it is directly from France which is very chic.I recently mixed the oil with some real Balsamic vinegar and dipped my baguette in the mixture , and it was heavenly. Good friends of ours visited the Mas des Bories olive farm in Salon de Provence France a few years ago. They continue to order a pallet of this amazing excellent quality when their supply is low. We missed their last order by a few days so weren't able to get our supply, so we were thrilled to learn it was now available on Amazon! We ordered a large can (2 liter) and were excited to have it come in so quickly (about 3 days). It is grassy, earthy, peppery & so fresh -we love the can it is packaged in, that fits easily in our pantry. It would likely keep the olive oil fresh for a long period of time, however I'm not sure it will be around very long!

This is the perfect olive oil for any use. It’s fruity and well balanced. I should have bought the larger size. I’ll be ordering again. I spent 10 days in France in Gordes (lots of bories) and this tastes just like the olive oils in the street markets of the sorrounding towns. I miss Apt, Cavaillon, Isle sir la Sorgue. This brings back the flavor. It’s the real stuff.

One of the best olive oils I ever had and I have tasting olive oils for over sixty years. I wanted to make a Pissaladiere like they do in the South of France. I needed a good French olive oil to make it with. This olive oil beat all my expectations! It was perfect for the Pissaladiere and it is delicious for everything - in salads, on bread, and for dipping. It is my olive oil of choice from now on!

Soooo good! I was a little confused as to how to open it, but once I figured that out, it was on to the tasting. Wow - fresh, grassy and perfect for dipping bread, making vinaigrette, gentle sauteing or finishing pasta. I am really, really happy with this purchase! Love the added touch of the personal note from the owners.

This olive oil is amazing! I took a chance buying a quality oil on Amazon and it paid off big time. This oil is perfect for bread dipping or salads. Will be ordering more with confidence; some for my olive oil snob mom too!
