Pro Dispose French Onion Soup Crocks, Porcelain Ceramic Soup Bowls, 12 Ounces -Set of 4-

These bowls are not "amazing." They are good, well made bowls that can sit in a hot oven for an extended period while French onion soup is made. The lip helps to hold the cheese, which makes a seal and minimizes spilling. I saw a negative comment about the bottoms being rough. Yes, that is true. No glaze is applied, or can be applied, where the bowls touch the kiln. So there is a rim on the bottom that is unglazed clay. It doesn't effect the bowls appearance nor their function.The manufacturer did a nice job packing them. I wish I could have said the same for Amazon when they were shipped. Fortunately, they all arrived intact. I definitely recommend them and would but them again.

I made my first batch of Cugino's French Onion, I used Beef Stock rather than water and six cups rather than seven, and I cut up the onion and cooked for ten minutes until it wilted, that still seems more logical to me. The crocks seem just fine, no problem under the broiler and the size is right for one bowl of soup or chili. Four stars just because I don't have much experience with them yet, they look great.

I was a little concerned about these bowls as I opened them because they look rather small, but they have been very good. I’ve made French onion soup in them several times now. You can fit nearly two cups of soup and still have room for your bread on top. They’re nice looking bowls and even baked on cheese clean ms up easily. They turned out to be exactly what I wanted

Shipment arrived with one bowl broken. They said to return it and I returned the broken bowl. They gave me credit for the whole shipment. What I didn't understand is that they wanted me to return the whole shipment. I now owe them for 3 bowls. I like the bowls and would order again. In a quandary about what I should do now

I choose this ones over the ones with a handle on the side, because are easy to store without it!

They are a tad bit small for French onion soup (because of the cheese covered crouton on top) but otherwise these were great. Even if I knew it would be this tight, I still would have bought them. They were a good deal - good quality and look nice.

I gave these crocks as a gift. I gave it 4 stars because they were much smaller than I expected. They do keep food warm and are very nice looking. I would recommend for anyone who is looking for smaller crocks for soup

I like the crock pot look. I wanted to get them with bigger handles and lids, but I chose these because the fit the bill.
