Great wheelchair
I purchased mine directly from Sun Rider in 2019. I live in the Myrtle Beach area and need a wheelchair for my wife who is left side weak from a Stroke. I have used other models and hated them until I did my research and found this one. My wife at the time was 230 and yes, sometimes it was hard to push, any beach wheelchair can be hard to push. In my area, that's not a problem as everyone is willing to help me if needed. My wife is now 175 pounds and it's easy to push. These wheelchairs are not great on beaches with allot of slope and deep sand, it flies where the beach is wet. Unless you go electric, this is the best.

Tire pressure can be an issue
I bought one of these for my wife who had a stroke a year ago and only has 10% use of her left arm and leg- so in terms of moving the chair, it must be pushed. It is challenging to safely get a 230 pound hemiparetic into this chair, but it can be done; practice at home first. Turning the chair cannot be done by the pusher from behind- I have to lift the front end to move around corners- the front end is very light. Assembly and disassembly takes less than 5 minutes. I have a Hyundai Santa Fe SUV and the 3 main pieces fit in the back if I remove the rear wheels of the chair, which is easy- one pin per wheel. The wheels are VERY low pressure (2.4-4psi). I found it exceedingly difficult to find an after market gauge that could accurately register pressures this low, but found out later the tire manufacturer, "Wheeleez", sells a dedicated pump and gauge specifically for these tires. It's $35- you really need to get one- it's imperative you have it. Bicycle tire pumps that use a flip-lock to secure the fitting onto the valve stem, will not work: the stem is too deeply recessed for it to grab the threads of the stem. The pump has to have a metal, threaded female fitting. You may find a video of a man taking the chair down a flight of stairs to the beach; good luck getting back up it. You'll need to have a wide enough, fairly straight and not steep access to your beach. Unless you're pushing a small child, you're not going to make it up a dune. Other than that, yes it's expensive- but it's a niche market item. It's been worth it to get my wife back onto the beach.
