Batches can vary in ability to absorb water.
I use these cups for transferring seedlings from seed tray to garden soil mix for hardening shoots to planting in garden. I noticed some batches of pots better at absorbing water. Even when they get wet, they remain stiff. Other pots from different batch fall apart at slightest touch. Not sure why inconsistency. Could be seller has different vendors?

Don’t Buy it!
There’s something wrong with these peat pots. As from the photo the 2 big, green cantaloupe seedlings are I n the Jiffy brand pots. I don’t know what country of origin these pots are from but it definitely is not Kosher! Yellow looking and so much smaller.

satisfied
My seedlings are now going into the ground and they have held up well in these cups. Worked fine

Compostable & breaks down in a few weeks as it gets watered.
Worked great to plant strawberry runners before putting entire pot into ground. Good for starting seeds or cuttings with no need to transplant later.

Excellent and inexpensive!
Perfect for its intended use. Gets a little slimy on the outside which isn't a big deal since I purchased disposable aluminum pans to set these in.

Not good
Do not get these to start seeds. They do not hold in moisture whatsoever. They also leak like crazy when watered.

Quality pots.
Nice quality pots for my seedlings. Fiddly job but they make it easy to use. Absorb the water well and have helped my seedlings grown into good plants to put out.

Value for money
Great pots. Ideal size.

peat pots
they are not useful at all, waste of money! They all developed fungus, and disintegrate, fragile. Not sure any one has tested them before putting them on the amazon. Very disappointing indeed.

Great for seeds to start before planting out
A great selection of pots to start peas, beans and sweet peas so you can just plant out when spring finally comes

These are small peat pots and they are just fine.
They are what I expected and hopefully will work just fine. I have my seeds set out in them and time will tell if they stand up to the test.OK - It has been a few weeks now and these peat pots are really working well. I have them set up in my small green house. The seeds have all sprouted and everything is growing happily - broccoli, swiss chard, tomatoes, basil, cucumbers, squash, rosemary, and several different flowers. The pots are soft when wet and keep the earth just right in between watering. I will get more next year.
