Won't last 6 months with normal use
I bought two of these cases in April 2019, a blue one for me, pink one for the daughter. This review is October 2019.The case looks nice but is a slicker surface than an Otter, so you'll drop it more often. But it has provided good protection on drops. And - for the brief duration that it worked - the battery charge was quick and complete. It got me through a two week vacation. The case is fairly light. On the other hand, the mechanical and electrical connection integrity and durability are poor. First thing to go - as you may have read in other reviews - is the top piece, which is held on by two micro sized tabs which break within weeks of first use (at least one of them will). So I used duct tape - like others - I was willing to continue use with the ridiculous tape fix. The maker apparently now sells extra tops - for obvious reasons.Next to go will be the electrical connection (between case battery and phone battery) - it will soon become tentative, and sometimes work and sometimes not. At the onset, you can slide the phone out and shove back in for a better connection, but after a while nothing helps helps. And you won't be able to charge the phone with the case on.Finally, other parts of the case will begin to fail or fall apart, such as the volume button extensions, one of mine broke off with normal use. Both of the cases I purchased are in the same poor condition.Note to seller: Do not contact me with an offer of replacement or refund to change my review. Amazon reviewers need more honest reviews. My suspicion is that without this offer, there's no way the average review would be 4 stars.Looking for a better make and model.

Smiphee Battery Case - A Great Solution for iPhone 6 Battery Issues
2-MONTH UPDATE: I used the battery case while traveling in Norway for 3 weeks. With the case I was able to keep my phone powered through long days of museums and touring. I never worried that I would lose power at a critical time, especially while following directions on gmaps. I charged the phone and case every night so I was ready for the next day's adventures. I definitely recommend this product.Original Review: My 1.5-year-old iPhone 6 began losing power, going from 100% charged to 10% in a matter of hours. When I checked with various iPhone vendors and repair services, they told me my only solutions were to buy a new Apple battery ($80) or a new iphone XR ($800). Since there was nothing wrong with the phone, other than short battery life, I decided to explore other options. I read reviews and ratings and decided on the Smiphee battery case 4000 mAh for iphone 6/6S.I have had the case for only a week, but it has given me the confidence to know that I can simply press the button on the back of the case to provide additional power when the phone begins to lose its charge. Both phone and case charge simultaneously and quickly when plugged in (using my iPhone cable - no need for a secondary cord), and the unit shuts off when fully charged. The case adds weight to the phone, but I always use a case to protect the phone anyway, so a few additional ounces are not a great concern. The case has a smooth matte finish so fingerprints are not an issue. I wish that there were more of a silicone feel to the case because it is a bit slippery compared to my old case. I have not had any trouble with the top popping off as some reviewers mentioned. There is a magnetic strip to hold the top in place, in addition to the snap-on closure. Since this case is designed for both iPhone 6 and 6S, there seems to be a bit of extra space inside the case. Occasionally I notice that my iPhone 6 moves slightly from side to side within the case. The case comes with a 12-month warranty. Shortly after I registered the case I received a text message from the company verifying the warranty and encouraging me to report any issues that may arise.I recommend the Smiphee Battery Case as an easy and inexpensive way to prolong iPhone usefulness.

Not bad, but could be better.
It’s not a terrible case, but not a perfect one either. The case is fairly slick to hold, and having the extra battery weight makes it harder to hold. I’ve had it for 4 months now, and the battery life seems to slowly be diminishing. I used to charge my phone about 2 1/2 times when new, and now only get about 1 1/2 charges. Often while charging, the phone will make noise/vibrate as if I keep unplugging and plugging it in again, and I’m sure that is not supposed to happen. I know the plug is fully inserted, and I’ve tried reinserting it, but that rarely works. As other have stated, the top of the case does easily come off and can get lost, especially if you keep the phone in a pocket or something rubs the top of the case the wrong way. The magnetic part of the case top does help to keep it attached, but the issue is the side tabs breaking easily. I ended up using Gorilla glue to keep the top on, so problem solved there. I wouldn’t buy this case again unless improvements were made, but like I said, it’s not a bad case either.
