Fitec GS1000 Ultra Spreader Clear Fishing Cast Net

Freaking awesome net for the money. Heavy mono makes less repair work. I live in hawaii and this thing hasnt ripped yet on our reefs and rocks. Only thing is i wish i had bought a bigger one, the 6footer is kinda small.

I received the net only to find out that it's plastic weights with steel core. The picture you see on Amazon is nothing like what it really is. Fitecs own site is also misleading...They say 1 pound lead but it really is steel weights covered in plastic...The net is also very bulky and poorly made. It's lead line attaching to the net comes apart on first use.

very heavy and hard to throw i have nets 10 ft and 12ft and this 9 footer is harder to throw than any i have ever tryed. but i bought it becouse it has 1 inch mess and the small shad dont get hung up in it as bad so ill get use to throwing it

It looks well made. Caution! If you are not VERY strong, you may not be able to throw a 12 foot radius cast net and get it to spread out! I have no problem with an 8 foot cast net, but neither I nor my strong 20 year old grandson can heft this one enough to get it to spread open. The instructions they give with the net show someone throwing a 4 foot net. That was disappointing. The least they should have done was to give good instructions as to how to throw a 12 footer.

Weakly constructed. Probably great for playing in the water and would catch fish in very shallow water. Too light weight for fishing for large fish at any depth or in any rough water surface conditions. I returned the one I ordered as I required something much more heavy duty.
