I love this butter

I have been trying different moisturizing products and ingredients with tactile and smell sensitivities for those in the household in mind. This cupuacu butter came in a sealed pouch inside the tub fairly soft as it was warm weather here. There is a bit of waxy grit initially in the hand but it melts fast in hand. When rubbed into the skin it does absorb very quickly compared to shea or cocoa butters so there isn't a greasy feel (yay!). There is a sort of smoked/burnt cocoa smell to it but you really need to get very close to smell it. I had it on my whole body and a family member who is sensitive to smells could not tell sitting next to me! The smell is not my favorite but not bad and I think it will work well as a base note with some other scents I enjoy. I am still going to try some other butters, oils etc., but am very happy with this one already and it looks like a winner for me. Update: I used this in homemade deodorant and a whipped body butter and was very happy with the result. Sandalwood works wonderfully with the scent, sweet orange was okay with it. I want to try it in some other things. I went to their website and ordered a pound more plus some other things.

It's great for hydrating my skin, but it's not a soft cream as it appears on the pictures. It's very hard. It will have to be microwave in order to soften it for use.

This bitter smells so lovely. I have a small container so I don’t use a lot of it when I’m making hair product mixtures with other butters

First time buying from this company. I love cupuaçu butter and I use it for my hair. I addd a little oil to it, emulsify the butter with my hands and apply to slightly damp hair. This is one of the few butters that works well with water.

I would never purchase Shea butter from any other vendor. Their quality is unmatched.
