Best dog toy, hands-down!
I have a 6-month-old puppy. He is, of course, energetic. I, unfortunately, am not. This thing allows me to run some energy out of him while doing other things. I sit on the couch, read, watch tv, even eat dinner in relative peace while Charley runs around like a nut.The pole is way sturdier than I anticipated - it's basically a short, sturdy fishing pole. It collapses down to about 12" long. The package came with the pole, 3 crinkly and squeaky toys, and an extra length of rope in case the original one breaks or wears out. The rope is cotton laundry line, so it's pretty sturdy. Mine shows no signs of fraying. The attachment for the toy is just a slip knot through the loop on the toy's head, nothing that could potentially hurt your dog.My only complaint is that for a long session, the handle isn't particularly comfortable. It is covered in dense foam, but for me it's a little tough on the wrist. This is a totally minor complaint, though, and certainly for $15 I didn't expect an Oxo good grips handle! It does seem to be breaking in though. If you are not a "take my dog to run" person or you live in a place with crummy weather, you need this thing. Even if you don't, you need this thing. The dog loves it!

dog toy for a fierce crew of dogs
It does break. I will continue to replace this delightful toy whenever it does give way to my psuedo pitbull in a 10" terrier frame. My Jack Russell Terrier is in love with this toy. And so am I.

My chihuahua terrier mix LOVES this!!!
The media could not be loaded. So my chihuahua terrier mix has a lot of energy. LOADS of ENERGY!!! And this she LOVES. It keeps her very entertained and it helps during walks because she has taken a lot of energy out already. So less bark-y behavior. Now I won’t count it off for it but my other dog hates it. She is a beagle terrier mix and she is scared of the stick so she prefers to stay away. They are both rescues and different backgrounds so hit or miss on some pups. Worth when it’s a hit though! Now quality. My dog is 8lb and it bends a little. If my 24lb was not afraid and playing with this I feel like she would definitely bend and break this. The quality of the toys are not the best quality. But for what I paid for and how much my chihuahua terrier mix has I think it’s worth keeping it. But will be looking for a better quality version of this.

Dog loves them
My dog absolutely loves these, he’s a German shepherd /husky and the only toy he plays with is his lure pole. They are a great price for the amount that you get. Pretty well made although he’s not a chewer so I wouldn’t get them for a dog that is one. The loop that connects them to the pole eventually got ripped off but that’s to be expected.

Needs a stronger pole for larger or more athletic breeds
My Belgian Malinois mix loved playing with this in the short time it worked but quickly figured out he could jump for it and the pole is simply not build to sustain a grip. I bought it because of the photo of the German Shepherd on the ad but don't see how many Shepherds would not destroy this quickly. I am ok with re-ordering toys that get destroyed but this one was destroyed way too fast.

Don’t risk it
This broke in half after playing with my dog for just a few minutes.

Best toy to exercise your dog with very little effort
My German Shepard/Husky loves it. It is a great way to wear her out. Tug a war wears me out and this toy made her think, use her agility and speed, and she loved the chase. Best toy I have bought to exercise my puppy. She is 14 mo old and can run forever and this toy has her sleeping peacefully tonight.

Toys are great - but that's it.
Our dogs loved the toys that come and immediately wanted to play - but the pole came apart before we could start. This is in sections like a fishing pole and the first section (with the rope and toy) was not attached and couldn't be; it just falls out and doesn't stay - which makes the whole thing useless.

Fun toy
Fun toy for dogs. Just didn't last long. My dog broke it after 3x playing. Nothing lasts for dogs anyway. Not for heavy chewers. Small animals like pup or cats would have fun with this.

Great fun and useful training tool
This is my 7mo puppy's favourite toy, paws down. She goes absolutely wild for it. The telescopic pole makes it a more convenient size to travel. There are spare toys to swap out. And it's a great training tool for learning patience and recall off something in flight.Having said that, my dog is around 8kg so I can let her play tug with the toy on it (jiggling it like a fishing pole with something caught on the line) before making her release it. I don't know how the end of the pole would hold against a 30 or 40kg dog who likes to tug and won't drop on command.

Lasted 3 days
Where the toy attached to the flirt pole pulled out almost immediately.
