Solid purchase
Bottom line:This tri short fits well, is comfortable, and functional.I am 5'9, 165 lbs, 32" waist. I generally wear medium shorts/pants, medium or large tops. I ordered a large for these tri shorts and they fit perfect. Legs do not ride up, and the padding is just right.Read on for those interested:With this said, understand that I am looking for a comfortable functional fit. I am 60, runner for 40 years, triathlete for 20 years at all distances. Intermediate ability at all, not looking (expecting) to win races, but still enjoy pushing myself to get the best performance I can muster. I get the whole "compression" thing, but I have no interest in feeling, nor looking, like a hot dog balloon with bungee cord cinched around my middle. This is exactly how I feel when I wear supposed compression shorts. I think the only people who can get away with compression shorts are those that are thin enough that their ab muscles are showing, meaning zero fat at the middle. Anyone else (even me at a 32" waist) is in for a very uncomfortable fit.It should be obvious that I am pretty picky about fit for tri shorts, when I find a pair I like, I tend to wear them completely out. I suspect this pair will be my next "go to" tri shorts. They are comfortable in the swim, bike, and run. I dont feel that strongly about the leg pouches as I really dont use them. I tend to run with a water bottle belt with pocket anyway. But if you do not do this, I think the pockets would be very helpful.

Nice shorts -- comfortable and functional.
These are half the price (or less) of name brands, but just as comfortable. They fit true to size. I love the mesh side pockets, which can hold nutrition, phone, etc. Light enough to swim/run, padded enough to bike, comfortable (and good looking) enough to wear in the gym.

Surprisingly Solid Tri Shorts for Reasonable Price
I'm a 23-year Ironman triathlete and I wear tri shorts for all of my exercise activities now, including trail running and even Fastpack Backpacking. Sadly, the named brand shorts are crazy expensive and IMO not worth it. I'm pretty finicky about the fit of my tri shorts so most brands are just not comfortable to me. I wanted to give these a try and I have been pleasantly surprised. I'd say they run a little small but that's OK for tri shorts because you want a tight fit. I wear the same Men's Medium for all the shorts (I'm 5'8", 165lbs) and that size works for me. I don't even need to tie the drawstring. The pad is just enough to help while cycling and not too much to be uncomfortable while running. The grip on the legs is good and comfortable. I'm a little worried the stretch of the material may not hold up in the crotch area but time will tell. The side pockets are quite large and convenient. Side leg pockets are a requirement for me. It can hold my Samsung S10+ phone just fine (but I don't carry my phone while exercising, just a key, ID, credit card, or ThinOptics reading glasses). Especially if you're new to triathlon or a seasoned athlete, I recommend giving these shorts a try.

Impressed so far
UPDATE August 2023 - Rode 112 miles with them in high heat and humidity South Florida to simulate race conditions. Held up very well. Still no issues with shorts after hundreds of miles. Minor stretching as to be expected. Work them for IM 70.3 Chattanooga without problems. I plan to purchase another pair for my Full IM Chattanooga. I use the ISM PS 1.0 TT Saddle for comfort reference. Have not tried on a standard road bike saddle.Delivered yesterday afternoon and I tried them immediately. I had already started my trainer ride and changed into these from bibs at mile 56. Rode 16 miles with no issues. No chaffing from the chamois. Ran 7 miles immediately after and very comfortable. Draw string held snug. Leg grippers worked. Side mesh pockets impressive. They held an iPhone 12promax in an otterbox case with no problem and no flopping during the run. Going to wash and brick in them again next week to test durability. So far I think these will be suitable for a 70.3 or shorter. Fit is as expected. I’m 5’10” and 205 lbs for comparison, a large fit well.

Great budget tri shorts, I really like them
M 5’10” 170lb ordered the size large. They were nice n tight when I tried them on, however they do stretch out a bit especially when wet. So if they feel too tight when you first get them, that should improve after wearing a couple times. The chamois / pad is easily good enough for 1/2 Ironman or maybe even full distanceSide pockets much better than expected, I rode 40 miles yesterday with my iPhone 13 in one of the pockets, no issues

Good entry level shorts
For 5ft 8in 184lb person size L fits well (normallyuse 34 in waist). Can't complain for the price. Pockets not that deep, for a phone (maybe a small one)

It's alright
It has a nice pocket feature and fits well. My only issue is that when I last swam with it, there was some chaffing, which I never felt in my usual swim wear.

Solid for 70.3 IM and training
These fit very well and are comfortable through a 70.3 triathlon. I wore these in training through all three events and in sprint, Olympic, and 70.3 events (twice in a wetsuit, once without, used in chorine and salt pools and open fresh water). Very comfortable for run. Four months in, they do not show any wear or sagging and the padding is still comfortable. Side pockets are handy for phone, snacks, etc. Really good value and solid performance for me so far. And they look good!

Very good buy
I got these yesterday and wore them for a short bike ride, short swim and short run. They look good, seem well-made and fit well. They are super comfortable. The pockets fit an iPhone 7 really well and it is really comfortable on the run. I will look at getting their jammers too as the price is reasonable.

Good fit, comfortable wear, meets expectations
Have worn for a few times since item was delivered. Performance was great, felt very comfortable. The pocket was a practical design, and that allowed handphone to be safely kept while exercising. Planning to get another one, in different colour soon.

Great shorts...better than expected.
Wow, great shorts. I've been out of triathlon for awhile. Decided to try to get back to the start line. Bought these as the reviews were positive. I went by the sizing chart and they fit great...snug but not tight. Seams are flat and solid in both pair and not showing any sign of poor quality. Leg grippers are good and hold position without irritating. Nice padding, better than my previous favorites and not noticeable on the run at all. Padding dries quickly. Pockets are a nice touch. Hold my phone secure and on the side of the leg where I don't even notice it. Put a set of keys in the other pocket and there was no damage to the mesh although I have changed to a single key to prevent problems in the future. Great for training..haven't used them in battle yet. Really impressed by the level of quality and fit..well thought out design. I will buy from this seller again.
