Clearest headphones I've had
I got these headphones mostly for music production. I'm not a professional or anything, but it's a serious hobby of mine and I wanted headphones that would help me mix clearly and also just sound nice when listening in my free time. These are very clear-sounding headphones. I can hear pretty much every detail in songs, many I never noticed before, sometimes even little pops and buzzes in the recording itself that I did not know were there. They're also very flat-sounding, meaning they're not bass-boosted or treble-boosted or anything. It doesn't sound particularly bright, warm, heavy, it's just very neutral. This is good for making music but it might not be what you're looking for. It just depends on your preference. The headphones get loud enough on my computer and phone, but it doesn't seem like you can play them super super loud without an amp or interface of some kind. Soundstage is good as far as I can tell, the music doesn't feel tight or contained, all the different sounds feel like they're coming from a different place. Very easy to identify the different components of the mix. Honestly these headphones seem perfect if you're mixing or recording music and can't/don't want to spend like +$500. It's so so so clear. Everything is right in front of you if you know what I mean lol. I feel like the only potential gripe you might have with the sound is that you wanted a more bass-heavy sound or one with more warmth. But you can change the EQ on these with a computer program I believe? Also: these are not actively noise-cancelling, although the cups do seem pretty good at keeping out external noise on their own. Not as much as ANC of course but I don't personally care. One plus is that you don't have to charge these headphones for them to sound right. As far as the physical headphones go, they're very comfortable to me and fit snugly but not too tight. The earpads are very very soft. They're closed-back so you can listen to them anywhere. I haven't had an opportunity to test how much they leak. Overall, these seem like really great quality for $150 especially if you're an "audiophile" (whatever that may mean), music producer, or just a perfectionist when it comes to sound clarity and quality. I actually returned a pair of Sony WH1000XM2s to get these and ended up saving $120 for what I see as pretty much equal sound quality. So overall very satisfied!

Amazing headphones
these headphones beat my expectations. i used to have a pair of v-moda crossfades that lasted me many years. and i had been missing that nicer tier of audio. i ordered these after a little bit of research and WOW. they arent marketed as noise cancelling but while trying them on and testing my girlfriend had to throw a pillow at me to get my attention! she was yelling at me from a few feet away and i didnt even notice. on top of that the comfort on the felt pads is amazing, definately one of the comfiest pairs ive worn. and the audio is just as good as the rest of these headphones. very happy with the purchase!

Glad I purchased these
I've had these for less than a day and the first thing I want to express is... gratitude.I had a two year old set of apparently 'Disposable', but expensive none-the-less, Audio-Technica phones which sounded pretty nice but they had some serious quality/quackery issues that led to the right channel going out.My first impression for these was that they are what a set of studio monitors should look sound and feel like. They're simple and sturdy in design/function - The sound is well balanced and detailed - They're comfortable to wear and perfect for my computer audio interface.

Outstanding clarity and unusually comfortable over lengthy wearing sessions...
I bought these for audio production work, mixing, and sound editing. I can honestly say that these headphones (which were recommended by a YouTube audio engineer) are absolutely the best I've ever owned thus far. They are exceptionally good in clarity and highly accurate sound production, and don't feel like you're wearing a cast iron vice over your skull, even after long periods of wear. The earpads are large, soft foam, and fully surround the ear, sealing off outside noise which also contributes to the comfort level...far better than the Sennheiser's I bought previously. German engineering here really paid off (they're made in Germany) and I just finished a two hour session at the workstation with no discomfort. BRAVO, Beyerdynamic. I highly recommend...

Comfortable and sound good
I'm not an audiophile. Let's get that out of the way first. I don't notice little imperfections with sound that some of you may notice. These didn't really sound any different from my Sennheiser HD 280 Pro's that I had been previously using, but those already sounded pretty good. But I had heard these were good, and when they showed up as "Renewed" at a good price, I jumped at them. The one thing they definitely have over the Sennheiser set is comfort. The Sennheiser headphones definitely had more clamping pressure, so these have been easier to wear during long gaming sessions, particularly when I'm streaming (I usually use desktop speakers otherwise). They sound good, cancel out a lot of noise, and the soft padding on the earcups is nice, although it is a little hotter to me than the leatherette cups on the other headphones/headsets I own.I also appreciate that the cord isn't spiral. Less chance of tangling.Overall, I like them.

Great For the Studio!
I bought these for my friend who is really into editing, music and videos and these ended up being perfect! The problem he had with his previous headphones was that the material around the earmuffs started flaking off. This was never an issue with these headphones and from his experience, he said they were comfortable, durable, and the audio was very clear. They had a snug fit and were nice and weighted. The only con would be that if he wore them for a long period of time, his ears would get hot and they didn’t have a very breathable build, but that was only if you wore them for a long time in one session. I think the value for money is worth it and I would buy this again for somebody else!
