Solid, Spacious, and Worth It!
I picked up the Sysracks 18U 35" deep rack for my studio and network gear, and it’s been a great investment. Functionality This rack has plenty of depth, which was key for me. It fits my blade server, NAS, Blackmagic studio gear, network equipment, ISP router, and a small UPS with no problem. I’ve got plans to add a rack-mounted UPS soon, and there’s still room to grow. The LCD screen with temperature readouts and fan control is a nice touch—really helpful for keeping tabs on airflow. I swapped the stock fans for Noctuas to get better performance, and that upgrade made a noticeable difference. Ease of Setup Setup was straightforward, and once it’s built, it’s rock solid. The included casters are a huge win—I’ve got enough slack in my cables that I can roll the rack out for maintenance without unplugging anything. That flexibility makes a big difference when you’re working in a tight space. Looks It’s clean and professional-looking. The matte black finish and simple design make it blend in nicely with my studio setup. It doesn’t scream for attention, but it looks sharp and well put together. Quality Build quality is excellent. The panels are sturdy, the rails fit perfectly, and everything locks and latches the way it should. Once assembled, it feels like it’ll last for years without issue. Storage Capacity 18U is plenty for my current setup, and the 35" depth gives me room for longer gear and clean cable management. Even with everything installed, I’ve still got space to expand and keep things organized. Value for Money This was one of the more affordable options I found, and it absolutely delivers. It’s not soundproof or dampened, but for the price, it’s more than worth it. Between the build quality, airflow, and flexibility, I couldn’t ask for more at this price point

All good now. It's a great unit.
Update2: The parts that were damaged in shipping were replaced by the manufacturer. Thanks so much for that! Now that I have undamaged panels, I can say this rackmount system is really nice. It looks great. It's very heavy duty and there's nothing wobbly. It's longer than I expected, it's a long rectangle - but that's fine. The instructions for assembling it are a little unclear, but you can find videos online. Update: The manufacturer contacted me and they will send me replacement pieces for the damaged parts, and that the damage must have happened in shipping. Once I get those parts and install them, I will update my rating - I think this will be a great cabinet once I get parts that aren't damaged. I am super disappointed in this purchase. I paid almost $500 and another &70 for shipping on top of that. The delivery box was in pretty good shape but once opened it was clear the unit that was delivered to me has been used before. It is damaged in multiple places. All of the small screws/bolts/nuts were not in bags, so they were all strewn about the inside of the box - I'm sure having all those small metal pieces rattling around inside the box through transit contributed to some of the issues with this unit. Take a look at the pictures. Both sides and the rear are badly bent so that they don't fit well. One of the mechanisms that holds one of the sides in place has been torn...It's plastic, seems like someone forced one of the sides to open without using the Open mechanism. The worst part - the top piece of this unit is badly damaged. It is ugly. I don't think I can use this unit. I'm not sure how possible it is to get a refund now, but if you're thinking about purchasing one please know that I regret this purchase.

Instructions that come with the rack are missing multiple key steps
I recently purchased the server rack from Amazon and unfortunately, I was left with mixed feelings about the product. While it comes with potential, there are significant drawbacks that hinder its performance and user experience. The first issue that struck me was the absence of crucial steps in the assembly instructions. Notably, the guide completely overlooks installing the middle bracket for the side panels to connect to the frame. Additionally, mounting the PSU and the shelf lacks any guidance, leaving users to figure it out on their own. It's essential to note that the shelf’s installation requires mounting posts to be precisely placed at the far edges of the frame, a vital detail that was missing. Moreover, the seller's misstep in providing the necessary locks added to the frustration. While the package was supposed to contain 4 locks for the side panels, 1 for the front door and 1 for the back door, it only included one for the front door, lacking the lock required for the back panel. The aesthetics of the rack were also a letdown. The brush panels were misaligned, causing the brushes to be bent and giving the overall appearance a rather unappealing look. Another critical flaw lies in the design concerning the placement of the mounting brackets. The PSU included demands 90-degree power adapters to connect properly. Otherwise, you're left with a situation where the power plugs press against the door, putting stress on both the cable and the door itself. Despite multiple attempts, there's no workaround for this issue due to the structure's design. Furthermore, the side panels lacked secure locking mechanisms, leading to slight looseness when attached to the front and back doors. This absence of a locking system impacts the overall stability of the rack. Considering the price of the product, it should undeniably offer a sturdier build and come with comprehensive instructions. Detailed guidelines including a scaling guide for mounting post measurements based on depth would significantly improve user experience and setup. In conclusion, while the server rack has potential, it falls short in crucial areas such as structural design, assembly guidance, and overall functionality. It’s advisable for the manufacturer to address these issues for a more satisfying and reliable product.

This case was a beast to put together, but once together provides a nice 12U server case for home use (or portable use with the wheels). Overall I'd give this is good rating for anyone looking for a home server rack, and am definitely pleased with my purchase, but there were a few cons that makes it a 4, not a 5 star. The big drawback: The back is screwed in. Meaning if you need to get to back cables easily, you're out of luck. My rails block any side-access, and so getting to the back of a server's power or network cables is near impossible. A flaw if you need to actually work on anything, but not so bad if it's all meant to be left untouched. Pros: - Great Price - Solid Rack - Just does what it's supposed to do. - Comes with some nice extras (power bar, fan, etc) so you don't have to hunt down those pieces. - Fits full length servers (eg R610). I've also commented this in the cons as they're a very tight fit, but they fit! So it goes in both pro and con. Cons: - Instructions are difficult to follow - Door is not easily reversible. - Two sets of keys; one for side locks, one for front (Yeah, you don't think this is a big deal - but just wait) - Screws are on the outside, meaning if you didn't have the keys, a simple Phillips would unlock it. - The frame is not "square" until all the parts are screwed in. The back panel is what's keeping my rack level and lined up. - Shipped with missing screws; had to contact seller. (or this could be a pro... seller responded quickly and sent me extra screws - was very pleased about that). - While the inside is the advertised 35" depth, the maximum post distance is 33". Unfortunately cable and bezel room are needed so the maximum realistic post distance is 28-29". Measure your devices accordingly. This barely fit the length of an R610 due to power/network cables at the back and bezel at the front. - "Free" rack is only 21.5" deep and requires posts to be set at that depth. The rack is useless if you require deeper post distance (such as with a Dell R610), so mine is in a parts pile somewhere. Even with all these "Cons" I would highly recommend this product as I found nothing that matches the price-point for the nice simple 12U full-length rack you get. Honestly, even if they fixed some of the small things like the 2-sets of keys and maybe the free-rack being expandable, I'd have bumped this to a 5-star, but there's no 4 1/2 so that's life.

I searched for a long time for a compact but full-depth rack for my home office. All of the 9U to 12U solutions were only for network equipment and couldn't house a full-depth server. This one does the job. Everything was packaged up so snugly that a tank could go over it and not damage anything. Everything fits nicely and in the package, there are also a lot of guddies like: rackable PDU, rack shelf, locks for three sides, wheels and feet, cage nuts and bolts to mount your gear, top fan with normal power plug, dust brushes for the openings. I'm really impressed what all they managed to pack for the price.

Excellent rack, easy to put together and conveniently designed. it is deep enough for any server. The price I think is low for the quality. You will not be sorry.
