The OvaEasy Advance Series II Hatcher has a capacity for up to 192 hen eggs and 224 pheasant eggs. It is designed to compliment the Ovaeasy 580 Series II setter incubator and can be used with other incubators as well. A separate hatcher is often considered useful so that debris from hatching is kept away from the main incubator or 'setter'. For the last 2-3 days before hatching eggs should NOT be turned and it is generally accepted that higher humidity is required at hatching to reduce the chance of membranes drying and becoming tough as the chick hatches. Incubation temperature (in C or F) and humidity are continuously displayed on the Ovaeasy hatcher. Humidity is managed by occasionally topping up the internal water reservoir and adjusting the vent on the front of the machine. (The 'EX' version of the Ovaeasy hatcher includes a humidity pump which gives a more precise, programmable and more 'hands-off' control of humidity and the humidity pump can be purchased separately later if preferred).
