USELESS
Used it for 35mins until 2 of the tines bent .... Not fit for the job at all ... Supposed to be a digging fork but unfit for purpose .

garden fork
This was bought to replace the same make which broke. It is pleasant to use so I bought the same type in spite of the breakage. It has now been used successfully for a season without any problem. One just has to remember that one is probably stronger than the tool.

Great sturdiness and grip. Digging is a dream
It's a great fork. Superb for what I required. Making light work of hard core and turf. It's not frightened to take the task on. It's the SAS of garden forks!

Well made & functional.
Bought in sale so viable equivalent of a very good Kent & Stoke which also in sale cost about £5 More. 10 year guarentee. Top class make.

Worked great, until it cracked in half!
Okay, so it didn't "bend". But that isn't the point! I bought this tool because I needed something sturdy for the allotment. And we have clay type soil. So, I was really chuffed about bringing such a great tool in to the garden until on a dig it simply cracked where the metal meets the wood.Spear and Jackson make excellent tools and I have owned a number of them. Being an American in the UK, I like to show I know the well made local products. This one just didn't do me proud.I will still buy tools from this maker, maybe I just had a bad tree.

Josetxo

Shiny, but pathetic
So much for 'never-bend' - the fork tine bent on first sapling I tried to lift out the ground...Bent it back into shape, but even light use seems to get the better of it, and it bends pretty easily. On the plus side, the stainless steel makes it look shiny, but the overall performance is disappointing.

Snapped and bent the first time I used it
I encountered a small root the first time I used it, and one tine bent and the another snapped off. I finished the job with my a 10 euro fork that handled it fine. The worst tool I have ever spent my money on.I choose this because I thought it was a quality tool. I will not be buying another Spears and Jackson.
