Neewer 8"/20.3cm Dual Camera Mount Tripod Bracket for 3D Stereo Stereoscopic Photography

I am very new to photography and I have only ised my iphone. I wanted to place my iphone and camera side by side to compare shots until i feel more comfortable with the camera. So far this piece has made this possible and has been an awesome addition to my rolling tripod set up. I can also use it for lighting/ camera combo or a prompter/camera when creating content. It’s pretty light. Everything screws on and stays in place and screws off just as easily when you need to break your set up down. Well worth it in my opinion.

I was hesitant to buy this at first because I already have a very similar one that came with a bundle when I purchased my DSLR. If you bought a camera bundle, it may have been bundled with A MOUNTAIN of cheap crap, most of which you won't use. I mean TONS of useless crap. But you bought it anyway, because it is virtually the same price as the camera without the bundle, right? Among the cheap bundled crap with my bundle was something I really needed: a bracket to mount two cameras on a tripod.Well, the cheap one didn't work. It never could be fitted onto the tripod securely enough to hold a heavy camera on one side and a lighter one (or anything) on the other. Always sloping to one side. Never really locked in. I'd only use this set up inside my own house because of how unsteady it was.Then I bought this. Night and day. The bracket is metal. The threads to secure it onto your tripod and to secure cameras to it are exactly the right size. The cameras do not move once secured. Because the cameras are locked in properly, this allows you to use the proper adjustments on your tripod to adjust both cameras (or lights, etc) at once.I don't typically write product reviews but this was worth it. I needed an extra ring light to work from a single tripod mount and this wound up working perfectly, I only wish it was even wider so it could offer more distance between the two objects you attach to them, but it is still fantastic and saved me from buying a 2nd tripod instead.

The fact that the two center holes are threaded and can be mounted on a tripod give this item extreme versatility. Once the base plate is on the tripod, you can mount a DSLR/camcorder on one of the standard threaded mounts on one side, and an accessory such as a field recorder on the other end. Or, combine this with the Micnova MQ-THA Aluminium Alloy Pro Tripod Shoe Bracket, which gives you 3 hot shoe mounts, and you're good to go. This combination can be much better than more expensive cage rigs that are bulkier and cost much more..

This is exactly the solution I was needing. I wanted to run some side-by-side tests between an Insta360 X3 and an Insta360 X4. This works well for that.You have to just screw the bar on the top of the tripod, and there is no nut or anything to “lock” it down, so keep an eye on that. I would not want to use this for anything where the cameras were being moved around.

No surprises here: it's exactly what it looks like so is obviously great value compared to some of the much more expensive alternatives. It's not as sturdy as some alternatives, and there's more manual effort involved in getting the cameras into precise position, but again that's obvious enough from the photos: you can pay many times more for a slightly better product, or just get this, which does the job for a much more reasonable price.

I’m using this as a bar to hold my blimp and zoom h4n pro recorder. I love that it I can adjust each side so the connectors can be either closer together or further apart depending on my needs. I just took it out a couple of days ago on a field recording session and it held my blimp and recorder on there no problem. Nifty little tool here.
