When I got this I right away thought it was too sharp and hard. It was very sharp on my palm when I banged my hand on it....so I thought I'd just drop it in a drawer. THEN I pulled my hair out of a rubber band and decided to try it. I have fairly thick but baby-fine hair that gets curly-ish in humidity...Well, this brush IS firm and sharp BUT it feels FANTASTIC on your scalp! It goes through and you feel you are getting a massage! It's lovely! I think my hair is liking the fact that it distributes oils too..just feels healthier..my Himalayan cat likes to be brushed with it too and her coat is very very thick...love it! Sept 2019 update: I love this brush so much I ordered a second one in a smaller size....these brushes continue to overwhelm me with how great they are. My hair feels terrific and I KNOW that that's partly due to the excellent job these brushes do. They are so good for the scalp and hair. LOVE THEM!!

Awesome brush had this many years ago and loved it saw it on Amazon while I was looking and so happy as its a great brush for thick hair

It didn’t tangle my hair, flowed well when blow drying and I liked the handle being all one piece so it didn’t have a seam that would catch hair. However, it created unmanageable static and I noticed the bristles came out when I was cleaning it. I returned it.

Purchase this brush many times, however the price increase from $11.99 to $14.29 is ludicrous Not only that Sally's beauty shipping is so slow. I will be searching for a more reasonable brush With proper shipping.
