Grade A Fine White Slate 50 Pencils (Set of 50 pencils)

I've been craving chalky, clay susbstances cause of my iron deficiency anemia. This product really helped quench that need for it. But it's too expensive to purchase over and over again. It tastes wonderful, nice earthy taste. Only two were gritty, some were creamy and melted in your mouth, but the majority had an amazing crunch. Shipping was on time and the pieces were relatively unbroken. Overall great product, just wish the price was lower or came in packs.

It does not have homogenous color. Has red in it. Not sure what that is. Aired for 2 weeks, still no taste. Very gritty/sandy crunch. Does not break easily even after airing it. Huge slabs. Disappointed

If you are looking for saleti (Indian name for such pencils) for eating purposes, this seller has the best quality ones so far. If you are looking for using it for writing on blackboard or slate, there are cheaper sellers available too. I am pregnant and have been craving for saleti so badly. I can get it from relatives in India at 1/10th of the cost compared to any seller on Amazon but with my cravings, I have no time (no patience actually) to compromise on cost. So, bought total 5 boxes from this seller. Hopefully, that will be the end of it, else this craving is going to be an expensive one..:). The slate pencils from this seller didnt have any impurities that would hurt your teeth or cause a strange taste other than the slate pencil's earthen taste itself. Will recommend buying from this seller. Other sellers have it few $ cheaper but they had lot of silica and other impurities in them which are not safe for consumption.

I loved it but its too expensive for what you get..

It was really crunchy, had grit, and was a bit gummy. Had little to no taste. The pieces are so very small, it's hard to justify spending the money I spent buying these. Would not repurchase. Would eat Crayola chalk rather than spend the money I did on these.

I have a an iron deficiency and crave dirt and clay. This satisfied my craving. I love the crunchiness of them. You only get 50 very skinny sticks of this so the price is not desirable but it hit the spot for now.

The texture is right, but it is very blah, no taste. It does not taste like how clay tastes. I prefer the volcanic ash or bentonite clay.

PICA PREGNANCY CRAVING...it was good to me. I finished them in less than a week. Very tasty esp after meals, they neutralized the taste in my mouth. They were hard and gritty but I still fulljoyed them..esp the crunch. I soaked some in water to soften them a bit. Also I did not become constipated, they actually made my bowel movements very regular.
