250 Live Banded Crickets (Small (1/4")) by BuyFeederCrickets

These arrived alive and active. I keep long tail lizards, anoles, and tree frogs. My critters are super happy and well fed. Of course, this is much less expensive than buying small batches of crickets at PetSmart (near me). I'm definitely going to render. I don't know how long they'll last quite yet. They arrived four days ago and I've probably been overfeeding my pets out of the excitement of having all these crickets available.Also, I don't know how long they live. I have them in a separate DIY critter keeper with an apple core and some water-soaked cotton pads. So far, most of these guys are still alive (minus the few I've accidentally crushed while moving them to the vivarium for feeding and the eaten ones of course).A couple of these chirped. I really like that sound (it's soothing at night). Unfortunately, those got eaten up pretty quickly. If the noise bugs you, don't keep them near your bedroom.WARNING: I read other reviews of bulk cricket purchase before buying these. One common thread I found to be true is that these guys will hop all over the place and swarm your house if you do not open them carefully. I decided to use an empty plastic storage bin (like the really big kind they sell at Walmart or Costco) and open them at the bottom of that bin. The crickets, luckily, could not climb or jump out. This made gathering them up into my critter keeper much easier. So, if you don't have a large bin in which to open these, open them outside or your house will be full of free-range crickets.

Half of them were dead but the 5 really large spiders that were eating them were nice and fat. The air whole was taped over completely. I was home when the mail arrived so they spent 2 minutes between screen door and main door. Yes they were loose in the box so I was ready for that. The white bag slides around the box squishing them. A piece of tape to hold it from smashing them in shipping would help as well. I will look elsewhere next time.

I have always purchased crickets from a local pet shop. They are expensive and sometimes it's inconvenient to stop. I purchased these during the pandemic as I couldn't get out. I have just received my 2nd order and couldn't be happier with the purchase. I will continue to order these even when this ends. The price, convenience of delivery and quality of crickets can't be beat. Highly recommend to others.

All the crickets are thrown in a box. We were not expecting this. So when we opened the box all of the crickets were jumping every where. It was horrible trying to catch them all to transfer them to the cricket keeper. They should warn you about them being loose. Will not order from them again.

Very disappointed! If I order "small 1/4" it means I need a "small" cricket for a reason! I received the crickets in a Very small box, considering past purchases from other sellers, and when I opened it it looks like the just randomly took various sizes of crickets and dumped them in there. I had all sizes from 1/4" to full 1"!! Not good, not Good!

Save your $20 and just go to the best store to buy in bulk. Guessing was too cold for these guys as every single one but one was dead even with putting it in a warm spot to see if these dead as a door knob crickets would come back like the box said. Came with a heat pack, was dried up and cold. Guessing you have to be in a time or place with perfect temp for this to work. Disappointing but expected.

Like everyone else is saying they come straight in the box, but they also put a red piece of tape on the box where there is a hole you can shake them out of but what I did was had my container ready when I opened them and transferred them from the box straight to their container. I still lost maybe 4 but I also did this outside so it wasnt a big deal. All mine looked to be alive when I recieved them. I have no complaints. I'm very happy with this purchase and will continue to order through with them.

For starters, the crickets arrived very much alive and happy. They chirped all night. I originally received size large instead of small but the company immediately corrected the mistake and sent me the correct size. My gecko is happy!
