Perstorp Attika 24% - Acetic Vinegar for Pickling 300ml

Excellent for pickling

I grew up with German 'essig essenz' (It never occurred to me that its acidity probably deserves a "warning", but I suppose that it does!) and I can't get it any more. This Perstorp Attika 24% really 'does the job' and goes a long, long way! I am truly relieved to have found it, to fill the hole in my kitchen cupboard and diet. Cucumbers (inter alia) are once again worth the trouble!Bonus for me: improbable as it may sound to most people who function at the level of "essig essenz" (I'm a "crumpled newspaper/re-use the old packaging" kinda gal, so I was really surprised), the sheer beauty of the Perstorp bottles - small, neat, simple, square-based, scarlet-capped, ultra-clear glass -, and the careful use of good, clean, practical, 'eco-friendly' materials to keep them safe, was really impressive, in the true sense of the word. The person who packed my little box (two 300ml bottles) included a hand-written card, saying "Packed with love by [her first name]", but I had noticed the care long before I noticed the card. Anyway, as well as all that, this very serious vinegar is GREAT!

I've been looking for a good strong Spirit Vinegar for years and I'm really glad that I've found some now, I got 2 bottles now. It's perfect for doing my cucumber salad, and my beettoot soup, plus any other recipe that requires it, thank you seller I will re order from you for sure...IF YOU NEED WHITE VINEGAR FOR CLEANING TRY USING WHITE DISTILLED VINEGAR INSTEAD.

This vinegar is NOT the usual "sarsons" vinegar - you MUST dilute it - it is vinegar in its purest form - but if you do dilute then it makes fabulous pickled onions ect. I also love putting a few drops onto an onion salad which brings it to life - would really recommend - but you must look at receipes - dont think it;s like a normal vinegar.

This item arrived safely and well within the time suggested. It was very well wrapped and boxed, no damage here. I use this item for fossil preparation, it is strong, strips limestone away very quickly so use with care. I highly recommend this seller and will use again. The little thank you note in the order box was a neat addition, makes it feel personal.

This item arrived very securely packaged and way ahead of the delivery timescale ( Royal Mail 2 days after ordering) . Item exactly as described - 24% strength vinegar.Bought for killing weeds on driveway using same Vinegar / Salt / Washing up Liquid formula as other reviewer suggested - just waiting for a nice dry sunny day to use it.Loved the little thank you note within the order box !

A bit strong to use undiluted for pickles, but diluted down with pickling spices, this works great.My favorite use has actually been as a calcium-deposit cleaner. This stuff is truly EXCELLENT for getting water scale off of.... anything so far. Just soak a sponge, wet the scale for a minute or so, and wipe clean. Make sure to rinse the vinegar off - it's an acid, so it could tarnish or ruin surfaces if you're not careful.
