Sonu Ki Titu Ki Sweety (Brand New Single Disc Dvd, Hindi Language, With English Subtitles, Released By T-Series)

I liked this movie a lot, especially compared to the Bollywood films that are released nowadays. The story takes a typical love triangle but puts a twist. The story is not about falling in love and having mixed feelings, and then trying to clean up the complicated mess that comes from love triangle. It's focused on bromance and manipulation. I've seen a lot of comments already saying they're confused with why she's not the "right girl" and feel the story is underdeveloped or ending is unfinished. It all comes back to the motifs in this movie: bromance and manipulation.

I think the second half of the movie was much better than the first half. I loved the song of the two best friends and it was a nice surprise that this was not a Romantic love story as I thought. I do recommend to watch this comedy.

For those who are saying that they never tell you why Sweety isn't the right girl, they did show it, she continuously kept telling him that after she got married she would get him kicked out of the house and there was also background music playing which was saying "gold-digger" to indicate that she was a gold-digger and wanted the household to be under her control eventually.. The comedy lines were very funny. Kartik Aaryan did a very good job. All the roles were well played. The plot was very deep, this film is definitely is a must watch. It shows that friendship is greater than a relationship.

this movie is the type of movie i love to watch they should make a number 2 or sure i rally dont want to spoil it but whom ever reads this review you have to watch this movie for sure i was smiling the entire time. I dont think i have seen this type of movie from bollywood in a long time i hope they make these types of movies!!

**SPOILER (you may wanna read my review after watching the movie)Basically when the cunning fiance (presumably a gold digger) talks to the ex. I thought that they had a discussion about splitting his money after she gets her gold-digging hands on it. Later before the marriage, the naive guy finds out his fiance and his ex were gonna take pretty much all his money and split it. He calls off the wedding.This was not the actual plot, it was lame. Very disappointing. Also what about the part where one cannot decide not to marry after having sex according to that weird law? Who knows.Waste of my time.

This is NOT a movie. This is NOT even a boring Hindi serial.This is an example of something that vindicates the continuous spiral decay of Hindi-Urdu-Punjabi industry. Honestly, this is only 20% Hindi and 80% Punjabi flavored cinema. Director Luv Ranjan's pathetic by-product leads the audience through a "mental slaughter house" filled with lumps of chaos, and half-dead carcasses of immature, silly and trite zombie characters. The actors performed their roles because they just had to have a livelihood. Sweet shop owner is a drunkard, his grand-son is a duffer, the duffer's friend/cousin is a borderline psycho/gay character, and the heroine is an intentional lunatic. Seriously, this is a hit? This is so bad that even a trash bin would feel bad to accept this garbage.

I thought it was going to be a movie like the song, Jessie's Girl by Rick Springfield, in the sense his best friend is suspicious of her until he spends time with her and then he falls in love with her and then they are scrambling to save everyone's feelings and the friendship. It's nothing of the sort. It's unique in that it's really awful. The best friend just doesn't want Titu to get married and Sweety wants to run Sonu off and infuriates him purposely from the start. It's a power struggle movie for Titu basically. I didn't like this plot. It was well acted. There were some interesting songs and scenes but it's not an enjoyable story. Perhaps the most over the top fight the two had was about food, which leads to the market and the banning of all meat for the men. It's like a PETA ad in the middle of the movie yet with humor. Very dark really. It was not the kind of movie I was thinking it was, nor is it the kind of movie I was looking for, and it didn't win me over in the end. It was a manipulative movie and that's not fun to watch.
