LG Series 8 OLED55C8AUA 55-Inch 4K Ultra HD Smart OLED TV (2018 Model)(Renewed)

I received my TV yesterday ,and this was after a long process of reviewing and learning about LG C8. In all Honesty, I am still state of euphoria after playing Apex Legends PS4 Pro, watching Billions on Showtime App, and and also Hanna UHD on Amazon Prime. It is absolutely incredible TV, I literally can't wait to go home so I can see it again. I have not done any professional calibration yet, but the out of the box settings and formats are still very good. I turned off all of the energy settings and overall brightness levels. Colors absolutely pop out. and what you have read about Perfect Black Levels is correct. Even the HDR content on things like Amazon's Grand Tour, you can see every aspect of the pavement. To setup tv, took me minutes, there are many apps, and even streaming options built in, including a webbased tv channels. The magic remote is a nice pointer system. Sound I actually ran through my Vizio soundbar. Again though, this TV provides immediate joy, If you love movies, and video games, it is a mastery level in picture. It is vivid, beautiful, and credit card thin. This is one of the best tvs you can buy period. It regularly won awards for 2018, for best of show, and even best tv. If you are ready to take the jump, you will be happy. I know I can't wait to get home, so I can game all night.

My first time buying Amazon 'renewed' and my last. I've bought refurbished products before and expect them to have minor issues and minor scratches but this was a complete train wreck.Good: TV was well packaged, turns on and has its regular picture.Bad: TV casing on outside was heavily scratched, but also the screen itself had many small scratches, but those you can live with. Manuals were all low resolution scanned versions (understandable)Ugly: one large very noticeable deep scratch on the left side of the TV that shows badly when the TV is on, terrible grey uniformity that is likely due to burn in, 'magic' part of remote does not work, microphone on remote does not work, and worst of all, the base of the TV had a screw left in with a broken head that was impossible to remove, making basically the assembly of the TV on it's base impossible!(See pictures above for information)

I want to start off by saying to Google what settings you should use on this TV. I used the Dark Room one as in RTING states, and this TV is absolutely gorgeous. I had few issues with packages getting lost in transit, but not this TV! It was packaged the same as buying it locally except the box didn't have a pic of the TV but rather than a sticker. I used the Amazon Day and selected Saturday shipping. It was delivered via a Ryder. If highly recommend if you have the option to use Amazon Day and select the best time available for you.Okay, so upgrading from a 40" LED TV and spending a few hours on my lunch breaks reviewing and looking at other models. This TV as of 5/2019, dollar per OLED TV per inch @55" is the best deal I could've gotten besides flea bay. At 800 nits brightness it's super bright! The colors are outstanding, and I'm really impressed that LG could MFG such a beautiful panel.

Everything about the picture is incredible. Sound is very good for the tv, especially with the stand. If you mount the tv, the speakers don't perform as well.The tv is very lightweight. It was super easy to hang on the wall. If you are going to hang it, I would recommend having some cleaner handly to wipe the fingerprints off of the screen because you will inevitably touch it.If everything else worked as it should, then the tv would receive a rave 5-star review. However, a couple of small things don't. I don't know if it's on Vudu, but the app regularly stops working on the LG. With so much content, it's very frustrating to have it stop working. Also, I have headphones connect via Bluetooth. However, the tv is automatically set to turn off after ~15 minutes with them connected. After a lot of research, I think I solved the issue. However, my hope would be that it works flawlessly without the tv turning off automatically while sending sound through the headphones.All-in-all, it's a great tv that has a beautiful picture. It's my favorite tv in the house.

i paid only 1200 for this tv. i feel like a thief in the night. the picture quality on a oled is insanely unreal. movies in 4k [netflix] are so crisp and clear its crazy how good it is. the sound quality for this tv is fantastic. no need for a sound bar, stereo system etc. my living room is 20 x 20 and it sounds great. if you havent seen a oled tv, its a must buy if you enjoy a great pic and sound. btw if you are still on cable tv, its not that great cause cable tv is on 720p so you need a crap tv to enjoy it, just saying lol

I have never written a review of this type before, but in this case I feel I am so far in the right that I am doing a disservice to myself and others not to do so. These TVs are supposed to be as new. I received mine damaged and in a box the fell apart upon repacking the TV. As per what customer service told me, they are about to sell out again. Despite my having done nothing wrong and exercised my best efforts to get the TV back to them promptly, I won't be refunded for another week. These recert TVs will be gone by then. None of the extenutaing circumstances, absolutely none of which are my fault, seem to be relevant. To anyone who considers buying one of these re-certified TVs please take note that the reports of damaged items are very accurate and you will still have to wait a week for a refund, even if you can prove it was shipped back. I have always been a loyal Amazon customer. Upsetting experience.

La calidad de la imagen es excelente, y eso es lo que se espera de un panel oled bien calibrado.. El sonido es bastante bueno, pero al sistema dolby atmos no le noté ninguna diferencia con un sonido estereofónico ordinario. La interfase del sistema WEB OS es bastante fluida y amigable, aunque hay muy pocas aplicaciones y la mayoría aunque muy sencillas son de paga.Debo aclarar que la tv que compré era Renewed y tenía varios píxeles y sub píxeles quemados, por lo tanto hice la devolución, pero en lo general es un muy buen equipo.

La pantalla vino con quemado de pixeles. Justo en medio de la pantalla se observa leyenda sombreada lo que indica el quemado en el Panel. Ya solicité la Devolución, ojalat sea rapido. Estoy muy decepcionado
