so good. It does not clump or settle
I was looking for a pea protein powder that was certified organic and grown in North America. I was surprised at how hard this was to find! But I believe that Swanson does source it's peas from Canada. I could not find a definitive answer, so I decided to trust the USDA seal of approval stamped on their label. This is a very mild-tasting powder. I have a sensitive digestive tract and this is the one protein powder I have tried that does not upset it (i.e. cause flatulence). I use this powder to make smoothies and so far, so good. It does not clump or settle. Thumbs-up from me!It does not get 5 stars because I could not get a definitive answer that it is grown and processed in North America.

Not a favorite ...
I can get through it ... but it's definitely not my favorite. To me, it was very gritty and had a terrible dirt like taste. I add cacao powder to it and mix with almond milk trying to mask the flavor ... it helps but doesn't do the trick. I'll get through the container but I won't buy it again. I did discover if I use one of those hand mixers to mix, it's not nearly as gritty ... actually it's pretty creamy. I also use a whey protein that I just put in a glass, add my liquid and stir and it dissolves wonderfully ... can't do that with this one ... it's disgusting mixed with a spoon. Lol And for some reason, that dirt like taste doesn't seem as strong when mixed with a blender.

Really gross, always feels like drinking sand.
So, it is what it is, small amount of protein... however, it's not.I got this because I didn't want some monster 60 gram protein shake, since I have a moderately decent diet. I thought maybe a lower protein would be easier to drink... I was wrong. This is bar none the worst of many protein supplements I have ever had. I will simply go back to using my half scoops of whey protein. No matter how much liquid you add, it's like drinking sand... and I never knew anything could be intentionally added that would make chocolate milk... or any milk, disgusting. This one wins for hardest to drink, worst texture and absolutely the worst taste of a protein additive, ever.

Not sure what I expected it would taste like...
I suppose it does the trick of not being whey (which doesn't bother me and I recently also bought NAKED WHEY (amazing btw). This is my first time trying pea protein, so I may be a bit naive as it pertains to flavor expectations. However, the pea protein tastes like dirt. Still working on finding ways to mask it, but no success yet. I'll try something with banana today, I suspect... Bananas and apples are usually pretty good since they're full of sugar (although natural sugar, still sugar). Having said that, it IS great for me, and at this time in my life, health should come first so I WILL find a way to make the taste tolerable!

Absolutely 100% pure and natural!
I was using another brand of pea protein(not organic) and was running out. I wanted organic only with NO other added ingredients, no isolates etc. I was impressed with the steps this company takes to insure its organic and regularly works with Consumer Labs in testing of their products. The powder is very mild tasting and blends well in my smoothies and oatmeal.I'm very confused about some of the negative reviews about this powder. People complain about grittiness, horrible taste etc. It's a protein powder, it's not a sugar sweetened chemical laden powder! !!!!! Our society is so use to everything artificially sweetened or added sugar/syrup that they expect it to be just that. I absolutely love it, and love that I can enjoy it in many different types of food. Those looking for the overly sweet, added preservatives and isolates, should look elsewhere.

It's ok but...
I like it but it's made in china..... however at least it's certified, although I haven't actually checked that they're real. But alas it's one of the best ones on amazon so I guess I'll stick with it, as long as they keep their prices down. When put in a smoothie it doesn't have any taste, and who cares?! It's not meant to taste great!

If there was a "zero" star, I would give this product that. I have not even opened the jar...no. I have not tasted it or seen it. BUTI bought the product based on reviews online and assumed the posted "Product of USA" information was correct as state. Afterspending time talking with 2 different Swanson employees, a lot of runaround, and unanswered questions, it seems that the product ISa "Product of China" as is stated on the label. I was told by Wiley they would have to charge quite a bit more for the product if an analysiswas done of the finished product. So, if you really care the process used for this product to be made into pea protein "isolates", I hope you will push Swanson to say something besides "We can not disclose that." The product should be more truthfully labeled as "isolates" and the amino acid profile should be stated. Buyer beware...it is not just about having been "USDA ORGANIC" at some point. It is going back today!

It doesn't have a strong flavor which I like but only 15g protein per scoop so it's rather expensive for pea protein powder as compared to NOW pea protein powder which has 24 or 25g protein per same size scoop, a lot cheaper but strong taste that I don't like.
