Fantastic!
I'm usually a bit lazy about writing reviews, but having had the Mishiko for a week I am thrilled with it. Our spaniel is a total pain about bombing off into the woods. We always suspect she's not gone that far but she hides very well! After having tested the tracker on her with the lead on all week, this afternoon we decided to let her off and she duly disappeared, but we had absolutely no trouble tracking her down. We have installed the app on both mine and my husband's phones, so we were both able to track her at the same time. Thoroughly recommend. We have made a strap with clips to attach it to her harness, as it won't charge through the double webbing of the harness. Aside from that we have no problem with it charging, and a charge lasts a good couple of days. Also, I'm not sure what the Monthly, Yearly and Unlimited options refer to on Amazon, as this seems to work perfectly well without any kind of subscription.

Do not buy - no longer supported
It was ok. More of a fitness tracker than a way to find your missing pooch. However the company has today announced it is ceasing service from 10 Apr 2020. I paid the top end price for unlimited data service so not best pleased.

A good idea while it lasted
The idea for the product is a good one and one that I was very keen to use but I never found it to be entirely effective or accurate with location or tracking the movement of my dog. The unit itself was far too big to clip comfortably onto my small dogs collar so I had to clip it to his lead which didn’t properly track his steps.Upon not using this for a while as our dog passed away and going to try it out again on our new rescue Labrador we were excited to hopefully get the best use of this with him being larger and more able to house the collar unit but it doesn’t appear to work anymore nor be available as a product which is an immense disappointment and they appear to have ceased providing the service so I’d imagine there will be a lot of disappointed owners with a now useless item like myself!

Fun but needs more development
This is a fun tracker but we had mixed results and it didn't track reliably. It is also quite chunky, even for a big dog, and wasn't that easy to attach well to an existing collar. It comes with it's own collar but it is white so definitely not suitable for our muck-attracting dog!It was nice to use for fun but it's size, attachment ability, and need for very regular charging means that we just haven't used it very much. The technology is moving forward rapidly though, so I'm sure refinements will see this product come into its own with more software tweaks.

Great kit, but on the large side for a small dog
We’ve always wanted to try a GPS tracker for our westie, so are really pleased to be able to test and review the Mishiko device. First thing to note is that the tracker is quite large (our westie weighs 9 kg) and so looks quite big sitting on her collar, though not uncomfortable, but very noticeable. We have the white one to try, which works well colour wise against her white coat. The tracker comes with options to attach a long strap that acts as a collar and goes round the dog’s neck or a hook and loop strip which you can then attach to your dog’s current collar. We opted for the hook and loop attachment which we wrapped around her collar, which is how most people would probably use it, rather than the dog wearing its collar and the GPs strap at the same time. We were hoping that the tracker would fit onto the collar by threading through the unit, but the slots are quite narrow in depth and our dog’s collar is quite thick, so it was not possible. To operate the tracker you need to download the Mishiko app and enter the username and passcode that come with the set-up instructions. This worked first time no problem. You then input your dog’s details - name, weight, medical conditions to set up the profile. If you have more than one dog with trackers then these can all be set up in the one app. After setting up the app it then tracks yours dog’s activity and makes recommendations about your dog’s health. We’ll be using the tracker for its primary use of tracking rather than health recommendations, but useful extra to have anyway. You can also set up a ‘geo-fence’ which then notifies you if the dog goes out of the defined area and alerts you via an app notification, which works well.To set up the device you first need to charge for 3 hours with the contact USB charger before use and then charge it another 2-3 times before the battery is optimised. On first use the battery seemed to run down quite quickly but this improves once optimised. One thing to note is that you can’t turn the tracker off to save battery, so if you’ve charged it but not using it on your dog straight away, it starts to run the battery down. We also found the using the app was quite energy intensive and sapped the battery life. There are things to help both of these issues though, you can turn on the battery save function in the app, which puts the tracker into low power mode (turns off the pulsing light and reduces tracking to every 5 seconds) and turn off location tracking in the app, so it stops constantly uploading your location via the phone when the app is used (it doesn’t affect how the app works for tracker). In use, you can track exactly where your dog is in real time, how many steps they taken and KM walked (or change to miles in settings).Overall a great bit of kit, though a bit on the large side for a small dog.

mine won't charge
looks good sounds great from the description and is about the right size for my bearded collie but mine won't charge , under normal cicumstances I would have returned for a replacement using amazons easy returns service but as this is a trial item I will have to end this reveiw here other than to say you get a faulty one now and again even with well known branding , so I'd try it if you are looking for a tracker for your dog.
