Must have for any older desktop unit
I noticed sudden decline in connection speed with my old usb stick, for some reason it was throttling to 1.4Ghz. I pay for 70Mbps with BT, and this new dongle instantly returned the speed. It comes with a driver disc which works perfectly on Window 10. Easy to use. Fits perfectly.

Gets the job done nicely.
Reasonable little adapter. Installs itself, connects to the WiFi reliably and stays connected. Range seems good. Build quality seems pretty good. Games run fine.

Surprisingly effective - recommended despite initial problems
The dongle is for a second, non-networked desktop located away from my router. I plugged it into the rear of the desktop and the reception was poor and intermittent. On-line suggestions were for an extension cable mounted away from the floor and computer. I had a 2-metre one and it was successful. Reception is fine. It was easy to set up, once the cause of the problem was known. The dongle is cheap, and looks it, but it works fine now. It would have been five star had the cable not been required. Recommended with the caveat of budgeting for the extension cable.

Broke after 2 years
After 2 years it finally broke it does what it says on the package but if you want better latency or connection and have a pc get a proper WiFi card especially if you're in a flat but otherwise it's great and easy to use also the value for money is good works out at 16p a month of intensive use.

Reliable and Easy-to-Use Wi-Fi Dongle
I purchased the TP-Link AC600 USB Wi-Fi Dongle to boost my PC’s wireless connectivity, and it has exceeded my expectations. Setup was a breeze—just plug it in, install the drivers (which are easy to download if needed), and you’re ready to go. The dual-band feature is fantastic. I mainly use the 5 GHz band, which delivers fast and stable internet speeds, perfect for streaming and gaming. The compact design is a bonus as it doesn’t get in the way, even when connected to a tight USB port. For the price, this little dongle is an excellent upgrade for older PCs or laptops without built-in Wi-Fi. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a simple and effective solution to wireless connectivity!

Appalling performance
I bought one of these to bring our main computers up to date. At the time there were some issues with our Service Provider and the dongle seemed to be working adequately. I bought another a few days later and set it up on the second computer. Once the Service Provider had sorted out its issues, the performance of both new dongles dropped significantly. I measured router speeds and device speeds on Cisco RealSpeed, and got a consistent 136/137 Mb/s for the router. On one computer, I got device speeds of 30 and below and on the other 25 and lower, the lowest was 0.86. Without doing anything else, I swapped them for the original dongles and achieved speeds between 125 and 137 on one and 120 and 132 on the other (which is further away from the router). On my mobile phone, using the same test mechanism I got between 120 and 137 when the phone was close to the respective computers. The setup instructions are minimal and I followed them to the letter. I also have a degree in Digital Communications, so there's probably a good chance that I set them up correctly.

AC600 Wi-Fi dongle. Fast, long-range, cockpit-ready. Built for rigs, streams, and mobile setups.
Type: Dual-band USB Wi-Fi dongle Bands: 2.4GHz (up to 200 Mbps) + 5GHz (up to 433 Mbps) Antenna: 5dBi high-gain, adjustable Interface: USB 2.0/3.0 Compatibility: Windows 11/10/8.1/8/7/XP, Mac OS X 10.9–10.14 Use Case: Desktop rigs, mobile setups, site cabins, AV streaming, festival Wi-Fi boosts 💥 Why It Deserves Big Compliments This dongle is a proper plug-and-play upgrade. The dual-band support lets you switch between 2.4GHz for range and 5GHz for speed—perfect for streaming, gaming, or remote work. The 5dBi high-gain antenna is the standout feature: it locks onto signals better than compact dongles and reduces dead zones, especially in larger rooms or site cabins 2 . Setup is clean—Windows 10/11 auto-installs, and older systems can grab drivers from TP-Link’s site. It’s lightweight, portable, and ideal for rigs that need a fast, stable connection without internal Wi-Fi cards. ✅ Big Win Dual-band AC600 speeds—up to 433 Mbps on 5GHz High-gain antenna—better range and fewer dropouts Plug-and-play setup—no faff for most systems Compact and portable—easy to stash or travel with Secure WPA/WPA2 encryption—protects your connection Amazon’s Choice badge + 40,000+ ratings ⚠️ Minor Trade-Offs Mac support limited to OS X 10.14 and below No Wi-Fi 6 support—best for casual use, not heavy-duty gaming Bulky with antenna attached—may block nearby USB ports Realtek chipset may cause rare disconnections on some systems No Bluetooth—Wi-Fi only 🧍♂️ Personal Verdict Used this in a site cabin and AV rig—held signal, streamed clean, and stayed cool. For around £13, it’s a proper dongle that adds speed, reach, and cockpit-grade control to any desktop or mobile setup. If you want reliable Wi-Fi without the faff, this one’s a winner.

Buy this instead of the cheap crap ones.
Easy to use, you just plug it in any working usb slot. It's pretty well built compared to the cheaper ones on here and its definitely faster, the range is better than 90% of other ones I've used and it only costs like a couple pound more than the cheap crap ones. Plus it's tiny so it doesn't stick out and get caught on wires.

Plug and Play im besten Sinne.
