Organic Sunflower Butter by Yumbutter, Creamy Seed Butter, USDA Organic, Gluten Free, Vegan, Non GMO, 6.2oz Pouch

I bought this sunflower butter for a backpacking trip because I couldn’t find SunButter on the go cups, but I failed to check how this particular product was processed. It would be PERFECT if it wasn’t processed on the same equipment as peanuts and tree nuts. I gave it to a friend who said it is delicious and on par with TJ’s Cookie Butter.

I ordered this as a peanut butter alternative for my child to safely take to school. Unfortunately, it contains “trace amounts of Peanuts and Tree Nuts” so it cannot be taken to school. It also tasted stale and was very gritty so I wouldn’t even eat it myself. I did like the packaging, but it was otherwise useless for my intended purpose.

I think this is a good product, but I personally didn't like the taste of the Sunflower seeds ground into butter as much as I like Almond butter. It was an experiment and I will stick to Almond butter.

Got this for a friend do use well recovering from being sick. Unfortunately she said it tasted rancid, like it has gone bad. Unfortunate because she usually really likes sunflower butter, and it’s very conveniently packaged and portioned.

The sunflower butter tasted rancid — like it had gone bad. I checked the expiration date it was still okay so I am not sure if this product just tastes like this. Its also very oily no matter how much you knead and consistency is watery.

Sight (running greenish-brown) and consistency (not like peanut-butter like I was hoping) were less than appealing. Taste was on the nose sunflower and burn for the first few seconds then the burn tinge mellows out. Overall, I mixed this with a soy peanut-butter for a palatable happy mix.

It is very oily, and not that tasty. no matter ow much you massage the pouch, you still get tons of oil. Not worth your time.

Although the value was there for this product, it was unpalatable. I didn't like the taste of it at all, and I like sun flower seeds!
