can these be used to removoe glass thats already been installed

The cup that we got was not a good one. The workers were installing a piece of laminated glass in a piece of equipment when the suction turned loose and the glass hit the ground. Needless to say, we were very disappointed and had to cut another piece of glass. That was about a three hundred dollar lose when you add up the glass and labor.

can they be used to lift non-porous metal doors?

Yes, I build elevators for a living and they lift elevator doors up to 180lbs, no problem.

does this work for closing gaps on floating hardwood or laminate floring?

Unless your planks are a full 8" or wider, you won't get a good grip. There are smaller vacuum seal devices specifically made for closing gaps that would be better suited to your needs.
