My 1st sluice/high banker.works great.just adjust your angle and flow so your water is going over the riffles correctly.i replaced original carpet with green miracle mat riffles and was easier to clean out the fines.the carpet it came with worked great but the green Matt cleaned out easier.ive only used this at home/set up as powered high banker,and that set up is what this review refers to.

it does work good and well constructed but havent got any gold with it yet just a bunch of black sand!!

Got this sluice for my elderly father in law. He loves it! Only problem is now I have to go out and fill buckets for him to sluice. The perfect tub for it is sold by Home Depot. Its a large black tub with a yellow lid for less than $10. The motor bracket hooks perfectly onto the back and a smaller bucket can be used on the lower end to catch all the tailings. Hooked it up to the battery charger and away he went. Well built and sturdy. Definitely worth the money.

I -bought as a beginner sluice-it works PERFECT= I hope it delivers- I also added a 4 ft. extension slice to it for more troughs to catch Gold I hope= I'm going to an AMRA free day out of Coulterville Mar. 1 st. for its maiden voyage and am a GPAA member through the Delta Gold panners of Stockton,Ca. I did add two add'l guides for the power sluice for extra stability as it had two and think it needed 4 ?? it is well worth the price I believe.

I got this product and had to disassemble to replace the fitting that the hose connects the unit. This unit does work, but way too overpriced, for three hundred dollars i expected more than 55.00 worth of material thrown together in a reused box. dont buy this and think you are going to be running all kinds of material efficently this is a one tablespoon at a time and you are probably pushing it, at that pace.

Before this sluice I had a large wolf trap. Loved the wolf trap but I can tell that this is a much better sluice plus its powered if the water is low or not I can get it set in perfect. Very happy to get it now I cant wait to see it catch some gold. I do suggest changing the grey mat out for either the thick blue miners mat or the black vortex matting. In my experience fine gold gets stuck in the grey mat Not in the 2 I suggested.
