cheap small and functional
these are cheap. they work. and they're genuinely small. closer to the size of my single aaa lights than any of my single aa lights. but they are not 350 lumens. i run them w lithium energizer batteries and they put out maybe 150 lumens. i emailed them and they said, "It can be use 14500 lithium rechargeable batteries. But long-term use will overheat the flashlight. AA batteries are completely safe." so these cheap lights likely have a limited life span anyway, and if you want to shorten that by running 14500 to make it brighter, go ahead i guess.look, these are almost cliche cheap chinese crap lights. but because they're so cheap, and they all worked out of the box, and they come in a good small size that only requires 1 battery, they're worth the cash. but i wouldn't be surprised if they burn out with moderate use or definitely with any rough handling. i'd never purchase for edc. (every day carry)so i see them as perfect back up lights for the kids rooms when the power goes out, for the 72 hour kits (that will hopefully never be used), and stuff like that. I have much better quality lights that i have intended for more regular use. i edc a single AAA streamlight. and have better quality stuff around the house for primary use in case of need. These are cheap, functional, small, and only use a single battery. To me they are the ideal backup light. But seem too low a quality for a primary light source. Great for kids, so as they play with them, they're only burning through a single battery at a time, rather than the regular 2 or 3 for most other stuff they'd be using.Update: 3/4/19- Had them a little while now. I like them more than I first did. They're still working with basic use. And their quality seems better than I first thought. The only thing I really don't like, is the zoomed in focused light is the LED square shape. I hate that. Wish it would zoom into a circle, not a distracting bizarre square shape with lines. But their unzoomed form is a nice quality flood light. Hoping the zoom end stays strong and doesn't end up loose and flopping around.

Great flashlights
These are small flashlights, the LED bulb is about average brightness, using 1 AA battery (not included). My favorite feature is they are on/off only. No dim, no strobe, no SOS. I hate clicking through those modes (that I never use) to shut a light off.For about $2 each shipped, definitely 5 stars

Simple on-off switch. None of the three-way rubbish.
I love these lights. They're bright, compact, sturdy, and can accept AA or 14500 batteries. But most of the ones for sale lately have the useless three-way switches which vendors seem to think everyone wants. Personally I hate having to click three times to get the setting I really want. Thank you for offering this much better option at a good price.

Single AA battery is the best feature (don't expect it to be as bright as a 3-battery flashlight)
I like to have several flashlights around the house & garage (so 6 is a great number). Those 99c store LED flashlights always require 3-AAA batteries... that is a royal pain because all it takes is one to go weak and the light output is dim'd. Also that's a lot of batteries to keep around... So I looked for (and found) these 1-AA flashlights that's also LED.These are not bright (think 1.5V of battery power vs. 4.5V with a 3-AAA battery). But I'm not using these to light up anything super bright.. if you need that kind of brightness.. find something that takes MORE batteries. These are being used to say shine some light into a dark drawer or checking to see if the front door has been locked...etc etc. I keep one in the car to find items that have fallen to the floor in the dark... Again, don't expect these to be bright...That said, using only 1-AA battery is convenient... and if it gets dim it's just one battery you have to replace vs. trying to figure out which of the 3-AAA has gone weak...Being that it's LED it'll last for a while...The barrel to adjust the focus beam is a bit stiff... Out of the 6, maybe 2 of them doesn't budge at all unless you really crank on it... It's actually a feature I don't use.. once the beam is focus'd, the light pattern gets very narrow and kinda useless... I don't even know why they bother to add that feature... just make it fixed like the good old flashlights back in the day when it was just an area light...

Fantastic little flashlights!
Upon receiving them I grabbed a AA battery and tested each one. Zoom/brightness all matched. These are the best flashlights to have lying around. They only use 1 battery vs 3. Granted they're not as bright as the those that use 3, but these are bright enough for most uses, especially in and around the house. The trade off is size. These are much smaller than the 3 battery lights. I have the several of those too, but I prefer taking these smaller lights with me when walking the dogs at night to shine out into the wood line checking for coyotes. They work well enough for lighting up their eyes from a distance, then i'll know to stay away.

1 out of every 6 (16.67%) ordered were fatally defective!
I purchased four boxes of six each for a student event with lots of volunteers needing flashlights. Of the 24 I received, 4 had defective cap threading such that it was impossible to remove the cap to install a battery. That means the fatal defect rate is fully one out of six, or 16.67%!!! These are cheap for a reason. There is little to no quality control. The result is that you will need to buy more than you think.

What's not to like?
I read several reviews on this product and expected that all six flashlights would not work. I was pleasantly surprised to find that every single flashlight is perfect. They arrived on 01/02/20. (a day early) I had plenty of AA batteries on hand, so I loaded them all up right away. I love the single mode functionality. I have no use for a strobe, but it never really bothered me much on other flashlights I own. I learned that you can do a half click on the button when one of those multi-mode flashlights strobe to stop it from strobe-ing. It's nice to never have to mess with that with these units. These flashlights are bright and solid. I plan to distribute them around the house and keep them in my coat pocket. They're perfect if you take walks after dark. You can turn it on and clip it to your pants pocket. It lets you see where you're stepping and lets drivers see you.
