The Graduate

Bought the book because I love the movie! Fast shipping, and looks great!

Story of graduate Ben who returns from a college in the East who has realized that the meaning of everything is nothing. There is a party for him he is uninterested in attending. He ends up taking back to her house the wife of his dad's law partner. Upon arrival there she puts the moves on him, he declines. Briefly. He decides he has nothing else going on so he meets Mrs. Robinson regularly at a hotel for a $12 room, (this was 1963).Ben's dad thinks Ben should take the Robinson's daughter out for a date. Ben does not want to and Mrs. Robinson tells him not to, so he does and likes her. So, he stalks her to her college, selling his car so he can afford to live nearby the college campus at a boarding house.Then things get really messy. Unfortunately, it essentialy ends mid-scene. A lot of dialog with the characters saying little besides swearing. Hard to believe this was made into  The Graduate , perhaps because the characters are so troubled. They all seem to have the maturity of 15-year-olds. Unforgetable for its oddness.
