Hanks Gunner - USA Made Concealed Carry CCW Leather Gun Belt - 100 Year Warranty - 14 Ounce

I purchased two of Hanks Belts in May of 2017,a Hanks AMA2495 Gunner Belt -1.5" - Black(https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00XNREX8M/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1),and aHanks A2700 Everyday Leather Belt - Black (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01KTUU31G/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1).The belts were delivered in the usual Amazon Prime time frame. These are both heavy black leather belts. I am tough on belts with my 54 in waist and cinching the belts tight to keep my pants up on my pear shaped figure. The last couple of leather belts I used had resulted in failures either in the leather breaking or the buckle breaking. I seen these on Amazon and decided I would give them a try. With the 100 year warranty, if they failed me, I would hope to get some resolution. I use the EveryDay belt for work in an office environment. The EveryDay belt has worked great with no issues from day 1 and I am still using it most days. The Gunner belt is a little more stiffer black leather than the EveryDay. I use the gunner mostly on weekends when I am working around the house or riding motorcycles or other activities. The Gunner belt has also been flawless since day 1 until recently. I noticed one of the Chicago screws was missing. The Chicago screws are used to hold the folded leather flap which holds the buckle. I contacted Hanks customer service via email to explain when I bought the belt and what the missing screw. I received a response email from Hanks within 24 hours informing me they would mail a set of Chicago screws to my address. Withing a week I received the screws, replaced the missing screw. I am very happy with the quality and endurance of these belts. I believe these belts could last me the rest of my life, they are that good. I was surprised at how quickly Hanks customer service responded and resolved my issue. I highly recommend Hanks belts.

Just got my belt in the mail today. I new the exactly how thick this was going to be by the description the seller provided but I was still surprised when I opened this thing! This belt is so perfectly rugged coming in at almost a full 1/4 inch! I had decided to order this one over the more heavy duty version as I also wanted to be able to use this as an everyday belt as I am extremely rough on everything I wear as I am a nuclear welder. But I didn't want this to be so thick that it was either uncomfortable or noticable either. This belt seams to be almost double the thickness of a regular belt that your going to find in your average department store but doesn't look too thick while your wearing it. Before receiving it I wasn't sure if it would be too thick to wear everyday but it is very comfortable yet very rigged at the same time. I have only worn it for about 16 hours so far but so far I couldn't ask for anything to be better about it in reality! I was carrying my full size, fully stainless steel 1911 for a little over 8 of those 16 hours that I wore the belt for today (concealed carry) and it was also very comfortable while carrying with it. There was absolutely no belt sag even with this very heavy gun I was carrying. Both the belt and the buckle have a real nice finish to them and I am extremely happy with this purchase so far! I have only owned 1 other gun belt in the past and it was more like the other more common gun belts that you'll find out there, which is basically garbage compared to the quality of this Hanks belt! I'm not exaggerating when I say I don't believe I'll ever need to buy another belt or gun belt for many, many years to come! Once you get one of these you'll understand why they give them the100 year garentee that they do. Extremely happy here guys! Like the headline says, I don’t shoot guns. So the whole concealed carry aspect doesn’t matter to me. I just wanted a black leather belt that would last forever without looking beat up after a few months. The only difference between this and a regular belt is that this is by far the thickest, sturdiest belt I’ve ever owned. Because of its thickness, it’s not exactly elegant, but it also doesn’t look noticeably like a work belt that a cop or someone like that would wear. I wouldn’t wear this with slacks (or even chinos probably), but for jeans it’s perfect. I’ve had it a few weeks and it’s breaking in nicely. It’s clearly a full grain leather, so I expect it to last for a long time. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is that the buckle is just ok. It’s fine, just a little basic. I upgraded to a heavy, square center notch buckle and it went from looking serviceable to looking stylish. Overall, I love this belt and judging from the quality of of the leather, I do expect this last for years.

I waited a few days to post this review because I truly wanted to try out the belt and see how well it preforms. The verdict: Awesome belt. In fact, best belt I have ever owned. It is sturdy enough to hold up a 1911 and two mags all day long without sagging or warping. Since wearing this belt, I no longer have back pain and doesn't look bent or chewed up like some of my previous belts. It is extremely high quality, super thick, and with a 100 year warranty at a decent price, who can say no? This belt is even comfortable when not carrying a weapon. I have been wearing it every day since I purchased it. The fit is very accurate too! I am a size 34 waist, they recommend a 38 belt and it fits perfectly.The other thing I love about this belt is that I can change buckles if I want to! I have a more business/black-tie style buckle that fits it when I need to wear slacks or a suit.... and.... Nothing says American Pride like a big bald eagle on a cowboy style buckle attached to your Hanks Gunner Belt. Haha
