It has been pretty clear that when Gregg Karukas drops a new CD, it's going to be awesome. Soul Secrets is just that. I like the variety in the selections and the quality of the songs. There are NO fillers here! When it comes to smooth Jazz, Gregg is the man! His guest on this CD add maximum flavor to an already prepared delicacy. One of his best!

The cuts on this CD were good; not his best to date. The CD was poorly packaged in a cardboard holder, which I subsequently repackaged in a plastic holder.

I have several Gregg Karukas' recordings. I like his music. But, I especially like this one. I buy a lot of smooth jazz. This Karukas one has several upbeat songs. I have enough "smooth" Jazz music and have been searching for upbeat Jazz music. I highly recommend this album and most of the songs on it. - Ron

If you're already a fan of Gregg you probably won't be reading this but if you aren't familiar with his music, buy this one!!! In fact buy all of them. He has a way of creating a "soft mood" - only way I can describe it. Love him!

Gregg Karukas is one of my favorite contemporary jazz artists. His style is unique and his compositions and arrangements are flawless. He always puts an excellent group together and I look forward to seeing him in person the next time he performs in my area.

I have been automatically buying Gregg Karukas's CDs for many years. Many of the cuts on each CD are enchanting, smooth, and with excellent improvisation. Whatever it is that I like so much about his work, this CD has the least of it of any. It is quite disappointing. Once we like an artist we want more of his or her work. I recommend any other CD than this one. If you like the rest, you will probably be disappointed in this one. I sure do appreciate all the others, though.

This CD is typical of all of Gregg's songs; funky and soulful. Whenever I'm having a bad-hair day, I simply pop one into the player and "presto", all my cares and concerns go out the window.

If you like Greggs other work you'll love this one.

Here's another good release from keyboardist Gregg Karukas. Soul Secrets was released in 2014 but still sounds fresh today. All up, there's 14 songs, all good to listen to. Best tracks are the title track, Soul Secrets, along with the up-tempo GK's Funky Joint, Rio Drive and Cafe Agogo, and the excellent, easy-going Elegant Nights, Only You, Walking On Air and Told You Twice. If you're into Smooth Jazz, you'll really enjoy this release.
