Looks like the real thing on the front.
From the front, you can't tell this one from the real one. The back though is a dead giveaway that it's a copy. There is not copy stamped on any of these which I prefer. Great coin for jewelry, decorating with or taking to an event and not really caring if it gets stolen since it's not real and did not cost a fortune. Takes awhile to get it shipped in. I now buy direct from the manufacturer as they have a much broader selection, ship much faster and are cheaper. Made of 75% brass and 25% sterling silver. Sounds like the real deal when you clink them. Feels and looks real until you look at the back.

Beware of this seller
I'm giving this one star only because it was delivered in a somewhat fast fashion. This is NOT a real US coin. It says NOWHERE in the ad that this is a reproduction. I wondered why a guy in China would have a store with old US coins. Beware of this guy. I would return the worthless items I have, but it would cost more than they are worth. Next time, I will go back to reading all the reviews before ordering!

Authentic silver dollars from late 1700's should have lettering on edges instead of reeded edge.
Nice conversation piece, but not authentic.
