Size Name:1 L Bulleit Rye is the ultimate expression of a rye whiskey, achieved by its commitment to a 95 per cent rye content, versus the industry standard of 51 per cent. This creates a spicy finish perfect for classic cocktails including The Manhattan, Old Fashioned and The Sazerac. With rye being a cornerstone to the Bulleit Bourbon recipe. For years, bartenders and mixologists alike requested that Tom add a rye whiskey to the Bulleit range and since it launched in the US in 2011, it has since grown to become the biggest rye whiskey in the US.

Very nice rye
First of all, rye whiskey is a beast of it's own, and although I like rye, it's not my go to whiskey. This one is like a decent bourbon with lots of spice, not the best rye whiskey, but it gets 5 stars because of the price. £25 a bottle is excellent for this, but once again, don't expect it to be on the same level as a scotch sipper, entirely different flavour profile. On the nose, the alcohol smells like some kind of paint solvent that I actually like and reminds of painting models. Some of the spice confess through on the nose too and substantial sweetness. On the palette you get a woody liquorice flavour followed by a strong and growing spice, but the more you drink the more the flavour moves towards a very woody bourbon.

Loved it.
I paid double and three times the amount for some bourbons but this stuff is better than them all. I love this stuff. The scent, the taste, the after taste. Beautiful and cheap. I bought This and a pricey talisker at the same time and this is my favourite. But I'm not a fancy whisky drinker. I'm poor, uncultured and payed min wage but I really liked it. Othe people with finer pallets may not or enjoy it. But for me it was awesome. And 40 quid cheaper than what i nornally buy. This will be a regular on my payday shopping list

A great value rye whiskey
An excellent value rye whiskey. This rye is 4 years old , sourced from MGP in Indiana and bottled by Tom Bulleit. It's probably more of a mixer than a sipper but it's still very good indeed. I've had better rye's but not at this price point. A good tip if you want to taste it at it's best is to drink it down to the shoulders and then put it away for at least 6 months. All rye whiskey's oxygenate really well and the longer you leave them the better they get.

Superb "bang for buck".
Superb Rye whiskey, if you like Rye whiskey. If you don't like the sweet, spicey tang then don't bother because this is what this is all about. This stuff gets a 96 in the whisky bible. That's 1.5 marks away from the "liquid gold" section which doubles or trebles a bottle's price. Superb "bang for buck" imo.

Really good, will be a staple in my cabinet.
Bought when on offer, but I would definitely consider buying it at full price. It is quite smooth without too much burn and a nice alternative to scotch or bourbon. Having not had much rye I am far from an expert, but when I have whiskey drinking friends round they seem to like it and it's also something that not many people have had!

Rye-lly great
This is super bourbon...a lovely balance of spice and sweet coming from the high rye content. I picked this up for £20 on prime day and felt like I robbed the seller. I'm not much of a bourbon drinker having been put off by some of the bigger labels like Jim Beam and Jack Daniel's, this is far superior and for the price most definitely worthy of a place in any whiskey cabinet!

Rye not give it a try?
This was my first rye whiskey I tried through recommendation from various people and as I really enjoyed Bulleit Bourbon I thought why not. The taste profile is really impressive for what you get especially at the cost you pay, it's real good value for your money. I made the most of the Amazon daily deals and bought a bottle, seen it on offer again the following week so bought another hahaThe initial sip you get a great kick of heat from the whiskey, but it's not overwhelming at all but is enough to take notice, dominated by complex mixture of spices and a sweet fruity taste which I've been informed that is cherry, but I still struggle to put my finger on it being cherry just yet (I have a palate in training haha). After that sip the rye begins to open up and the dryness becomes more obvious as you finish but there is something about it that makes you go back for more. It's a drink that you need to try, even if just buying and trying at a restaurant/pub/bar or wherever to understand the value you get from buying a bottle.Overall it's smooth to drink especially when neat (I recommend enjoying it neat over cocktail mixes, tastes much better in my opinion), it's something that you can open to drink at home by yourself or with family to relax with that won't disappoint.

Love single malt whisky and slowly getting into bourbons
Love single malt whisky and slowly getting into bourbons. This is my first rye and I was impressed. Not as sweet as a bourbon and the depth of flavour isn't as strong but it is a pleasant dram. I enjoy it. Packs a punch too at abv 46%. Great fast delivery and well packaged.
