Ceramics and Print (Ceramics Handbooks)

This book covers almost all image transfer techniques and ceramics printing in a very clear way and it isrichly illustrated. Great resource for research in the field of ceramic arts.

I took this book's description to mean it provides detailed instructions for various ceramic print techniques. I was therefore disappointed to find that it gives little more than an overview of each procedure. For example, in the screen printing chapter, the author mentions that Photoshop can be used to create halftone positives. But rather than provide a tutorial on the procedure, the author points readers to a better book on the subject.I give the book three stars because it has an excellent glossary, health and safety information, and a decent list of ceramic and print suppliers. However, readers in search of a detailed ceramic print instruction book should look elsewhere.
