I had bought 3 units, 2 units went bad, would not turn completely off. Seller replaced 2. I was able to complete my lighted headboard project. Works great with phone (Android) Magic Hue app, still working on naming for Google Home controls.

The product is super small and comes with a connector which is great. However, of the RGBW the R and the G are reversed. You have to rewire those two to get the colors your want. I checked twice and it is the module causing this.On top of this my remote never worked but I am using Alexa to voice control it and that works fine.With those issues I give this 3 stars.

The remote works fine, the smart phone app works fine, but I just can't get it to join my wireless network to use it with Alexa. The device sees my wireless networks but seems to crap out after typing in the wireless passkey and just keeps asking to retry (yes, I know what it is and have typed it correctly). Going to see if I can get a replacement.

The way this interfaces with your phone is not great. It creates its own WiFi network that you connect to and then connect your WiFi to it. This has to be done almost every time you want to change something on it. However, it’s cheap and does work it’s just annoying.

Plugged this item into the light set, lights came on but this item immediately stated smoking. Unplugged it and that was the the end of that.

Unable to get the wifi controller to connect to WiFi network.UPDATE: Does not work with Android Pie 9.0. Worked with Android 8.1
