BOUCLIER Visor with Blue Trim

I bought this visor because I worry about skin cancer and sun glare can be a hazard when bicycling. I have a newish Lumos Helmet. It is Lumos' Kickstarter model with MIPS.The Bouclier Visor works perfectly with my helmet. I was able to install the brackets in the space on each side of the helmet, just above where Lumos' front strap is. Because the velcro straps are so well designed and strong, I didn't remove the adhesive from the brackets. The brackets are strongly held just with the way the velcro straps work. Having brackets with a teensy bit of give seemed better than permanently affixing the brackets to the helmet. THe visor is easy on and off and is in not danger of falling off when I'm wearing it.Even with my big Wayfarer sunglasses on AND a heavy-duty face mask, the visor doesn't fog up. When the sun shines behind me, there is no reflection or glare that interferes with my vision. At dusk or when it is cloudy out and I've have Lumos' built-in lights on, there is no reflection or glare that interferes with my vision, nor is there anything that interferes with the visibility of Lumos' built-in lights. At night, the visor isn't good to wear because it makes everything too dark to see. Cheers!The visor is easy on and easy off. I recommend this visor to anyone with a Lumos Kickstarter who is concerned about their face's exposure to the sun. Along with my face mask and sunglasses, I think the Bouclier visor also helps protect me from the Covid-19 virus when I ride my bicycle.Many thanks, Bouclier Visors!

This Bouclier Visor is a very nice idea but needs to be redesigned. It is very expensive for what it is. I have 4 helmets at home and it worked with none. The adhesion broke after 5 minutes and I throw it in the garbage. I am very sorry but I cannot recommend that product.

I actually saw this visor while it was still in development so I was on the pre-order "wait list" and was one of the first to order when it became available last year. When I received it, I thought it looked too hot and cumbersome (okay, and kind of nerdy), so I never fitted it to my helmet last summer and it sat on a shelf all winter. Recently after having yet another suspicious spot excised from my face, I knew it was either use the visor or not bike outdoors anymore. I finally mounted it to my helmet, have used it the past 2 days for long rides, and I absolutely love it! I cannot believe how well the air flows up and around my face, and yet it also shields my eyes in such a way that they aren't irritated by the wind. It is barely noticeable as I'm riding and that was a complete surprise to me. I thought that it would be irritating and would kind of vibrate in the wind. Nope, it does exactly what it's supposed to do, shields my face from the sun. Of course, I am still using 50 SPF sunscreen but at least now I don't feel like I have to reapply every hour and a half with this extra level of protection. I just ordered a second one for my road bike helmet and can't wait to be fashionably protected from the sun on RAGBRAI LXVI!

Purchased for my sister as a gift. After only four weeks, and used twice, one of the mounts lost its grip on the helmet and fell off. This is a very pricey shield. I feel for the price it should come with extra mounts. Unless I buy more mounts, I have a useless $55 piece of plastic.

I just started using last month and it keeps falling down and detached from the helmet while I bike... so not very safe I would say.The idea is not bad but if there is wind it will just push over your face and if it is not down it will just snap out right away.

This is sleek and keeps the sun out. Love it!

I love that it keeps my face dry in the winter. I wear it constantly while riding. It also protected my face in an accident.The adhesive mounts failed quickly - not between the helmet and the mount, but where the plastic part of the mount contacted the foam part of the mount, so entirely internal to the product. This is clearly a manufacturing design flaw. I know glues and did everything correctly while applying them. I fixed this by cleaning both sides with alcohol again and then using rubber cement to glue them again. If that fails I will move on to some more extreme options.Also, they desperately need a clear version of this for riding in lower light conditions.

I got to wear this about three times before the adhesive just wore out. Way overpriced.
