BOUCLIER Visor with Black Trim

I would have initially given this 3-4 stars due to the adhesive tabs not holding. I sent back my first one for an exchange due to the tabs pulling off my helmet. The same thing happened with the replacement but I was out of the returns window. I emailed the company and their customer service is fantastic! They not only sent me some new tabs, they also included some straps to help the tabs stay attached. Also I was told the new tabs hold much better. I have not had any trouble so far. I will say I now store my helmet in the house rather than the garage because I think the extreme heat makes the adhesive soft and the tabs come off. This is a great product both conceptually and practically, now that I have tabs that stay attached. As a melanoma survivor I take sun safety very seriously and a bonus is the shield also keeps bugs off my face while riding.

Update 4.15.2020. BOUCLIER very quickly sent me new stickies, free of charge. Nice customer service. Increased star rating to 4 stars and if the stickies hold, I wil increase the rating to 5 stars. Love the concept and product.I loved, loved, loved it... until the stickies that hold the shield to the helmet stopped sticking to the shield. I followed directions exactly to attach them, including letting the helmet sit 24 hours, but first one side became loose, and then the other. If I can reattach them again, it will be a 5 star product, but as of today, it is unusable.

I am allergic to the sun light and I could not bike because of this condition. My kids also turned out to be allergic to the sun light as well.I was looking for another product called vizorx but I could not find and and in researching I found this one. It’s a Godsend. My family and I can actually enjoy bike rides and I am so grateful to the lady who invented this visor. I absolutely love it. I need more because I have used mine so much it’s getting old.

Recently just got back into cycling, after about 20 years since my last long distance rides. After riding in the middle of the day for 3 hours, I got sunburned and my skin is still peeling as I write. It's easy to wear long sleeves to protect your torso, but how about the face? I tried the motorcycle neoprene balaclavas and also those stretch bandannas but they made me look like I were about to rob a bank plus it made breathing difficult. Thankfully, I happened to run across the BOUCLIER full face visor and I must say I'm impressed. Tried it July 4th on a four hour bike ride and no problem with breathing, and it doesn't fog up with great airflow especially outdoors. Suffered no ill effects from the sun exposure. Sunglasses or eyeglasses easily fit underneath the visor. Riding in 13 mph breeze at the beach wasn't a problem and the visor was very stable even on a steep downhill at 31 mph. As for appearances, I did see some smiles from other cyclists that may have thought it looked odd and nods from others as if "nice visor." Personally, I think it looks cool like a wannabe motorcycle helmet.

I had read how the pads can come unstuck so I made sure to follow the instructions exactly. Despite this, one side came unstuck before end of my first journey. The second came off the next day. The visor arrives flat so it naturally wants to straighten itself out. This causes huge tension on the pads and they soon come off because the adhesive fails to hold the visor in place. I do not seem to be able to request a refund on this visor for some reason. All I can try now is to find a really strong glue and make the best of it. This is such a shame because I thought this was going to be a great alternative to wearing glasses and it was going to protect my face from flying bugs.

I primarily used this too keep my face and glasses dry while riding in the rain. It worked well for a few months, then one of the mounts came unglued from my helmet.

Really helps with cutting the wind in my face while riding home in traffic. It has also stopped a rock from hitting my face.I do find that it has terrible glare that prevents me from giving it 5. Also, with the glare issue, price seems high.
