Worth the money
We purchased this after my elderly parents had an infestation in their lift chairs. We originally paid an exterminator to heat treat the whole house, but within 6 months they came back. They have hard wood floors and just a few pieces of furniture so we decided to try this instead of another exterminator.Setup was easy enough if you follow the instructions and place the three temp sensors around and in the furniture you are treating. I like to make sure I have at least two buried in the folds of the furniture and one out on top. We would wait until the coldest one shows 120 and then we would set a timer for 1 hour. Treating the chairs the first time killed a LOT of them. We were supposed how many there actually was. The heat up time took us about 4hrs to get all the temps up to 120. We did this in a garage with an ambient temperature of about 85f to start. It does heat up the surrounding area as well, first time temperature in garage got up to about 124f inside and close to 140 at two temp spots inside the tent with the third hitting 120f. Well worth investment. We treated the rest of the house with that powder stuff and heated all the furniture a few pieces at a time until we finished. So far we haven't seen any live ones but we are going to re-treat all the furniture again in two weeks to be safe. I highly recommend if you don't have it spread through your whole house yet. If you do I would suggest having an exterminator treat the whole house and then getting one of these to treat specific furniture if it originates there.

they told me it's best to have it at room temp or higher
This unit needs to be sold with more information. After calling the very helpful staff several times, I found that it wont really work outside, nor will it work on concrete. You have to put some type of insulating material under it (cardboard, carpet, wood were suggestions) to get it to even come close to 120 degrees. It can't be cold where it's used, they told me it's best to have it at room temp or higher. I never really got it to 120 even with the heat in the house set to 85 degrees. Highest I got was 118 and it takes a while. Don't lean anything heavy (mattresses) against the side, it will tip over. If it works, it was a good purchase. Not sure it deserves some of the rave reviews but if it kills the bedbugs, I'll take a little inconvenience.

This Heat Chamber Works!
This heat chamber works exactly as described. I set it up in my bedroom after disassembling my bed and moving it to the side of the room. I then put my mattresses and headboard in it. I turned up the heat in my house to 85 degrees in order to assist the heating of the chamber. It got up to 142 degrees inside it, and the bedroom outside it got up to 112 degrees (it comes with 3 remote temperature sensors that you can monitor remotely). Upon seeing these results, I got the idea to just open up the chamber to the rest of the bedroom. Within an hour, the entire room was at 133 degrees. I let it stay like that for 3 hours. Any bedbugs that may have been in the room were most certainly killed. I then took just the 4 heaters and did the same thing to 3 other rooms. This was 4 days ago. I haven’t seen any bugs yet, and don’t think I will. If I do, I now have the tools to fight them again and again if needed. One thing to know is that you have to put each heater on a separate circuit in your house. I had to map out all of my circuits to find what receptacles went to which circuits. Once this was done, setting up was easy. If you use just the heaters like I did to heat entire rooms, you need to make sure you get all medicines, liquids, aerosol cans, batteries, candles, and bullets out of the room before starting. The only damage this caused was any Velcro or sticky hangers are ruined. My iPad, computer, alarm clock, and Xbox all survived just fine.

Your room will need more than the recommended 70F ambient temp
Everyone else here has glowing praise, but my experience so far hasn't been so positive. Caveat: the results I am reporting right now are for the beginning of an Australian winter (late April). The instruction manual says that an ambient room temperature of 70F is the minimum temperature that will produce results, but this is clearly not true. It is likely that I will get better results in the summer. I will update this review in the summer, approx 9 months from now.I used this heater for 2 consecutive days, the first day for about 7 hours, the second day for about 11 hours. Immediately after treatment, I also put my bedsheets and clothing into the dryer for extra certainty. On both nights, I felt nymphs still crawling on me. On the 1st morning I awoke with about 3 new bites, and on the 2nd morning, only 1. But nymphs crawling either way.Conditions: ambient daytime room temp of 77F on average. Night time temp of 70F. In fairness to the manufacturer, on the first day, I didn't use the circulation fan that comes with the product because it's fairly loud and I'm in an apartment complex. On the 2nd day however, when I ran the room for 11 hours, I did everything as instructed, with circulation fan and everything. The 3 thermometers were placed deep into luggage filled with clothing, books and electronics.Full log of usage for first day:Monday 2020Apr20:15:09: started all 4 heaters.16:36: turns out only 3 were on, turned on the 4th.
