This is a great product with excellent value for the money and is an exact replacement for the Honda Keys. It even has a protective sticker that reveals a shiny new chrome emblem when finished assembling. Be sure to purchase the correct replacement battery (Amazon makes these at the best price - CR1616). Do NOT throw away the original key stem as these replacements are ONLY for the outer case and fob. The original key stem fits perfectly into the top of the fob case as well as the original “brains” of the fob. The “brains” are the programmed microchip with the buttons and battery slot. Do NOT throw this out either. The company even provides you with the correct micro-screwdriver to complete the job. It takes a little force to snap everything back together but once assembled, is very sturdy and solid. Just like new after it’s done and I would purchase again!

After 7 years, one of my 2013 Honda Pilot remotes cracked. Because the inner workings of the remote were functioning fine, the dealer was going to charge $49 for the shell/casing. This 2-pack is perfect! Extremely reasonable in price, easy to switch over my electronics and key, and it’s very sturdy! I was very surprised to find what appears to be an enameled Honda emblem under a protective black sticker! So, one could use it as a Honda remote or not. Photos show my original shell on the left, the spare shell in the middle and my new replaced key/shell on the right. Thank you for a great product!

The original OEM key fob shell lasted about 5 years; the first third-party replacement I purchased on Amazon lasted about 4 months; each of those in this order lasted just under 2 years, so better than some out there, but still not good.

Two part review....Just before I received these my 2008 accord went to the body shop.( hit and run in a parking lot)I really didn’t have any of the problems other reviewers had.YET,the went together fairly easy.I will not be able to test them until I get my car back.the one key I do have the light works when I push the buttons.that is a good sign.the price is great compared to Honda 60.00 plus cutting the key.auto parts was half that.i will let you know how well they work at a later date.if you do need a key fob this is the way to go.many thanks to this company and all reviewers.im back both keys work great 08 accord thanks saved a lot of money

These seemed like an inexpensive solution to repair the key fob on our 6 year old Honda key. They were easy to install and looked like new. Unfortunately, they are very brittle and did not last. After only using them for about a month, pieces broke off in the same spot on both of the keys. These had not been dropped and were not treated any differently than our previous OEM keys which lasted 6+ years.

I've been using these as a replacement for the key covers of my 2012 Honda Civic for about a year now. When I received them, the plastic moulding was a little off, which prevented me from correctly assembling the case over the key inserts. It came with two, so I did still receive one whole shell. It's lasted me, though it is coming apart finally after taking a beating. That being said, it looks nice and did the job. I'm sure there are better ones, but this was a good price and did what I needed it to.

Great Product easy to replace

There is a gap in between the 2 pieces which develops a crack on one of the pieces with continuous use. Both of the cases broke within 3 months of installation.
