Only works with extra coverage
The tent itself is easy to open and close for storage after the snow. It's also tall enough to cover the plants that can't go under tarps, such as bottle brush, milkweed, oleander, etc. I have a LOT of butterfly weeds that are tall and spindly and don't take too well to being bent under a tarp, so a tent like this is perfect. The issues: (1) The edges are flimsy and a little high from the ground, so even after securing the tent, the wind would just whip the sides upwards, allowing cold air to get under the tent. I had to wrap the bottom of the tent with sheets to keep the wind out. (2) Because the wind was so strong, nearly blowing over several of the tents, I had to throw towels, sheets, and comforters on top of the tents--the tent, although secure, was just so thin and flimsy it wouldn't stay put without being weighed down. (3) It did NOT save the plants from freeze. The few that were covered by a comforter (only intended to weigh down the tent), survived because they had they added insulation of a thick bed comforter protecting them. Those that had nothing, towels, or just sheets over the tent did not survive.Know before you buy so you can be prepared for how to use this effectively. I will continue using these tents because they're easy to assemble and just the right height, and that's just what I needed--height. But I will ALWAYS cover the tents with a comforter because the tent itself provides ZERO insulation. All plants under tents without an added comforter died. So use the tent to tuck those big and tall plants under cover, and then use a plant tarp or whatever to actually provide the insulation from the frost. Don't expect the tent alone to do it--it won't.

Holding up under more than 2' of snow.
So far so good. Product purchased November of 2017 to protect two smaller boxwood shrubs from snow. I installed them just before the first snow and staked the corners using the provided stakes. They worked and held fine being driven into semi-frozen mulch. Its now just before the New Year and we've had record snowfalls already or this time of year. There's more than 2' of snow on these covers and they're holding their shape. No collapse, no tears. Will be interesting to see if they hold through Spring.

Weak tent rods in mild conditions cause collapse
I am trying to protect a Myers improved lemon tree from Texas frost and found tent collapsed and all the stakes splintered and broken. Very disappointed in the simple part of keeping it upright through winter which hasn’t even started. Fabric seems to do job but stakes not so much

Not near the quality of the previous generation.
I had purchased several of NuVee's previous generation plant covers. They were excellent. I needed a few more and the Amazon page indicated these were the replacements. It looked as though the only difference was color. Very wrong assumption. The previous generation were made of a much higher quality material. These are as close to tissue paper as I have seen. I bought two different sizes to cover large potted plants and both ripped when they came in contact with the plants. I do not recommend buying these to anyone. If you can find the older dark green ones, buy those instead.

Quick easy plant cover. only protects above freezing.
This works very well. Easy to use, just open & sit over your plants & stake it down. I wish I had of ordered a larger size as this one wasn't wide enough to cover all my plants in one area. My mistake. So far the temps here in South MS haven't gotten below 32 degrees yet, so I can't tell how well it will protect below freezing.Update: We had 1 night where the temps dropped down around 28 degrees, it Did NOT protect very well. Leaves turned brown on plant & fell off, but did not die. As they have revived. If you use this cover, better add something else to cover plants for extra warmth. If temps get below freezing for more than a day, I don't think they will survive using this cover alone.

Cannot handle snow and ice
It seemed excellent to start with. But now that I've been using it for about a month and it's been through maybe two snowstorms and some hard rain, the fabric has torn, opening up holes in the cover. If this item cannot handle snow and ice, what is the purpose? It's supposed to protect the plant from snow and ice, right? Do I need to get a protective cover for my protective cover? I live in NYC by the way -- not Siberia. This is regular winter weather, and if the fabric tears so easily, it is simply not useful. Looks lovely though. Ha.

Fabric too thin
I bought a version of one of these last year. I thought I was buying the same one, but when I took it out I realized it's not as good quality. The fabric is very thin and flimsy. A few strong gusts of wind and I am sure it will be in tatters. If you using this for a night or two when an early frost is expected, and you just don't want frost on the plant, it likely will do the job. One with heavier fabric will offer more protection, through a season.

I hope it will last through one weather in Michigan ?
The larger one, was delivered in a box and damaged. I really think that the materials they use oh only stand up to one snow in Michigan. Check with me after my first use in the winter of 2019. It would’ve been nice if the fabric was a little more adorable very skeptic bad it well withstand one winter? I ordered a total of three of these items . Two of them were delivered uncovered and unprotected ! The two that were not put in any packaging were torn and dirty and cut on the top of one like a box cutter had been used! I return two of the three items and I am still waiting to be credited for two of them .

Too expensive for just 1 item.
The title description contains the word multiple. It has me believe that I was ordering a few of them at once for the price. Disappointed. Nice size but not worth the price.
