Bought this for my son for Christmas and he loved it. He says it is very warm and he likes the feel & look of it. Lots of zip pockets and like every other item I've purchased from Tacvasen the item is made with very high quality workmanship and materials and provides excellent quality for the price. He is 6 ft 3 and 200 lb with a very athletic and muscular physique and the size LARGE jacket fits him quite well. It also fit me just right and I'm 5-9 178 lbs.

Extremely warm especially in this NY weather. Highly recommend!! Also, love the pockets.

Husband's review: Ive been looking for a jacket like this for a while now. Because I have access to military clothing, I compared it to a similar jacket at a much higher price point. This jacket is better in that it has a hood with a bill and will fit nicely under my Gortex shell. I bought a large 5'8" 170lbs and it's a little loose, but good for layering under if you want to wear a sweatshirt. Yes, the zipper is opposite side of where a mans normal zipper location is, but that's far from a show stopper. It does have thumb holes in the sleeves if that's what you like. The only two issues I see, which isn't enough to return, is that I would like to be able to cinch up the sleeves or have elastic rather than thumb holes and I'd like to be able to tighten up the hood. For the price, I don't think you can go wrong.

Edit: So I get why this is a high return item. The seams in key areas started to rip on me. If you do decide to purchase this anyways, size up. I actually like the fact that the zipper is on the reverse side as it prevents me from accidently zipping this into my top layer (this is a good mid layer hoodie.) It's water resitant to light rain but I doubt it will keep heavy rain off you, i use a midweight carhart storm defender as a top layer for that. It has an ok amount of pockets, at least 6 pockets which isn't bad for the price. The inner pockets seem big until you realise there's a whole for some reason at the bottom of them. Like legitimately designed to be that way. The sleeves are actually the right length for me just barely but if you have long arms, this is definitely not going to work for you. The thumb holes are pointless as they just mostly add a way for air to shoot down tour sleeves and would only be useful if you actually put your thumbs in them. Speaking of wind resistance, this is suprisingly very good at it for a soft fleece hoodie. Not perfect for super harsh cold wind but doubling up with this and my carhartt storm defender works beautifully. I can't see me needing to wear a base layer with my current getup until the weather hits negative digits.

I love the jacket. It's warm, it is infact windproof. I am 5ft 7inch and 190ibs and I bought extra large and this jacket fits perfectly for my size. Other than the size chart the jacket is perfect it is infact warm and windproof. The side and inner pockets are deep. I love all the zippers and hidden pockets. The jacket is such that I can carry a disposable rain poncho for emergency rain situations in the back zippered pockets and you'd never know and you'd never feel that it was there. The jacket is soft on bare skin and is warm enough that u could wear that jacket and only a t shirt underneath and still stay warm in 40 degree weather on a windy day. What more can u ask for? It's perfect. As long as the zipper doesn't fail and I see no reason that it should this is an excellent buying decision. I live in the Southwestern US and this jacket meets all fall and 30% of winter morning wear.. I am adding my Army unit patch to it for customization that's how sure I am that this jacket will last the test of time. It takes the place of 3 of my jackets and I'm donating them to Goodwill as a result of my buying decision

I’ve purchased four or five of these in the past several years, and they are absolutely one of the best made zip fleece jackets I’ve seen for under $100. I wear these for casual use going to work and back, and they keep me warm on pretty cold days. I also use these daily for long distance runs in the winter and they work great in temperatures well below zero. I’m pretty hard on these jackets and end up washing them about six times a week. They’ve held up far better than I would’ve expected, but the zipper finally broke on my first one after years of use and abuse. I will keep buying these as long as they keep selling them.

I have enjoyed this jacket for some time now and really appreciate how warm and soft the fleece material is. The jacket features deep pockets and velcro patch spots, allowing you to display your favorite patches. This jacket is versatile enough to serve either as a liner under a thicker jacket or as a standalone piece in 30-50 degree weather. As a layered clothing item, it's perfect. The wind resistance is excellent - I've worn this throughout winter as my main jacket and have seldom felt uncomfortably cold. The style follows expected military design principles, making it both streamlined and functional. While it holds up well against light moisture, I wouldn't venture out in heavy rain without additional protection. In those instances, I throw a poncho over it, and the combination keeps me warm and dry. The hood is particularly well-designed - it's deep and comfortable without drooping over your eyes and even includes a visor that helps keep both rain and sunshine out of your face. Overall, this jacket delivers excellent performance for both standalone use and as part of a layering system.

Great quality nice and warm it also works awesome coupled with a waterproof or windbreaker jacket, the sizing is bang on…I’m 6,2 - 230lbs and XL fits really nice. Many colours to choice from which is always nice. I recommend. Thanks.

Fit as expected. I'm 5'9"/140lbs and bought medium, but small would have been just fine (I prefer to wear layers under this, but if you want it the other way around, buy smaller). Love the thumb holes and hole for ear buds on left arm. Not exactly sure what good the left forearm pocket is good for as it's pretty small, but it's not a problem. The hood is great: covers and warms the head without affecting peripheral vision like standard hoodies. In the picture, it looks like the main hand pockets are way too high, but they feel natural and are nice and large. Only criticism would be no inside pockets, when this could have been easily done. It's almost as if it was DESIGNED for two inside pockets but forgot to sew the bottom of the pockets. Again, not a big deal. BONUS: doesn't seem to attract cat or dog hair that badly. Great sweater jacket. Thanks for making it :)
