War Zone Faith: An Army Chaplain's Reflections from Afghanistan

Not just for those in war zones, but anyone that faces adversity
It is hard for me to write a review of this book, for one George Tyger is a close personal friend who I respect both as a chaplain and warrior. For anyone who does not understand how a chaplain can be a warrior consider they serve in the military, unarmed with no way to defend themselves. Chaplains go on the same patrols, share the same risks and the same bad chow as every other Service Member.George writes with simple eloquence that inspires one to be a better person though faith. His writing is from both heart and soul.

Best depiction of the spiritual landscape of Afghanistan in print.
Best depiction of the spiritual landscape of Afghanistan in print. Chaplain Tyger's testimony of personal experience and reflection are a treasure for both military and private citizens contemplating the ethical dimension of our nation's longest war. A must read.
