Yocktec Keyboard Case for Apple ipad pro 12.9 2018 Ultra-Thin Bluetooth Keyboard stand Case/Cover for Apple ipad pro 12.9 inch 2018 Tablet(black)

I’ve found it a challenge to get a keyboard and cover for the 3rd gen iPad Pro 2018 12.9 inch. I’m not prepared to pay for the Apple version (I got my iPad on a monthly contract as buying one outright is so appallingly expensive, so I’m not about to spend so much on a very badly reviewed keyboard) and it seems there are very few alternatives for the new model at the moment. I saw a question and answer where someone had said this didn’t fit the model I mentioned, however that is inaccurate. It fits perfectly and the camera, buttons etc are all positioned exactly as they should be. It’s surprisingly difficult to determine which model you have but this does fit exactly what it says it does!The keyboard is great to use, it feels like proper keys and in that regard is exactly what I wanted - if you are used to a standard keyboard, then it feels very familiar. It looks smart, seems very durable and has been made to fit perfectly.However, the negatives are sufficient for me to return this unfortunately. It’s heavier than stated and makes carrying a new, lighter iPad around feel like carrying a laptop. I would still have kept it for the time being but the connectivity is just not reliable. First connection was difficult - the keyboard was showing up in my Bluetooth devices but wouldn’t connect. I shut my iPad down and restarted and it connected immediately so I thought was resolved, but every time my iPad goes into sleep mode, I have to restart for it to connect again. (Incidentally the instructions mention the need to key in a code but that never appeared as an option for me - when it connected, it just worked fine). I would have put up with the heaviness of the case for the convenience of being able to type easily and for the protective cover, but restarting so frequently is just not an option.A couple of other niggles, though not major - it’s a US English keyboard, not UK as I’d thought. And the English translation in the instructions is very poor. Not the end of the world, it’s not a difficult thing to use but it’s not helpful if you have any issues!

Had issues with the product, but the seller has made contact and offered to replace the item, which is great. Hopefully this will solve the initial issues I had with battery life and Apple Pencil connectivity.As promised, the new case has arrived - it allows the Apple Pencil to charge with no issue and the previous connectivity issues I had with the keyboard have gone. All working well and pleased with the response and resolution from the seller. Thanks.

Used for a week and so far impressed. Easy set up and no typing lag. There is no £ key on the keyboard but soon worked out that pressing Shift+3 sorts that out. Good value compared with Apple’s £199 version and works just as good. Would recommend.

I like this it’s strong good very good I will say buy this product

Does exactly what it’s meant to and a lot lot cheaper than the apple case... It is easy to charge and connect and haven’t had an issue with it so far.
