Great for younger kids
Bought 2 of these for my youngest kids and they are great as an entry level tablet for younger children. I would recommend a more capable tablet for kids aged over 12/13 but for my 2 these are ideal, playstore access so plenty games and sppa to choose from, WiFi signal never drops, decent screen and build quality for the price.

Highly recommend tablet for those on cheap budgets or low incomes.
Really good tablet for the price, what more can you expect for a under £60 tablet? The screen uses a TN LCD display which is a great screen what’s cheap to make but have bad viewing angles to awnser the reviews to say the screen is bad but is a cheap and decent quality screen , yes but your going to expect it on a cheap tablet as the screen is cheap and will make your tablet cheaper, but theirs something called Mira vision in settings what I’ve set mine to vivid abs has made the screen produce colours more vividly which Tn displays useally can’t. I highly recommend it for a cheap little tablet if your upgrading from a five year old 10” and find the ten inch too big what I did. So I went for 7”. The camera is what you will find on other cheap devices it’s ok. The speaker quality is ok but needs a bit of careful eq to get bass or it’s too flat , but it’s a tad tinny but that’s to be expected for a cheap low end tab like this. I would highly recommend you get it if your on a right budget and needs to get a cheap tablet to surf the tinternet , watch vids, take vids or pics etc. It records in 720p hd, I used an old SD card from my old tablet and it can display 8mp pics no problem and plays hd vids no problem when the screen is not hd as it’s only a small screen with a 1024x600p display resolution as it can play 720p vids no problem, as it downloaded pics and vids I forgot I had on my google drive what was taken using a 8mp device and had no problem displaying and playing the vids and pics, but the video watching in the internal video app buffers a lot but apart from that a great cheapo tablet what I highly recommend on a cheap budget. The battery is ok but holds a decent , what more can you expect for a cheap tablet? Im ok with it and reply pleased I think money well spent

Good, but with a major letdown.
As so often in life, you get what you pay for. This is a budget tablet, so don’t expect high-end tech. But if you’re on a budget, or just want something to travel around with, this tablet can definitely fill either role. However, that is all I wanted, and it achieved it in many ways. I can live with - - the compact display - the terrible viewing angles - the mediocre battery life - the less than stellar (but still very acceptable) resolution. And with a bloat free OS this is exactly what I wanted. I still use it every day, and am using it right now.The one major downside is the screen responsiveness. Tapping at a box, button, arrow, whatever, hoping it will respond is infuriating. I don’t know whether the screen is just not sensitive enough, or if the cpu is doing other things before it can recognise your input. It’s not always this way and oftentimes it’ll be just fine, but when does happen, it’ll drive you crazy. It’s the one major downside in a tablet that otherwise achieved everything I wanted it to.

Great upgrade to Kindle Fire 5th Gen
I bought to replace the Kindle Fire 5th Gen being used by my 4-year-old. I decided to ditch the Kindle Fire because it has no YouTube kids app, far too much on the home screens that can't be deleted to make it simpler to use and you can't use an SD Card with the kids' profile. So, this tablet is pretty much the same but faster, has a less fiddled with version of Android so you can make the home screen nice and uncluttered and access to Google Play so you can download YouTube Kids.I couldn't find any way to set up a kids profile so can't lock it down but I have removed the icon for the Chrome browser and will look into replacing it with a kid-safe browser. The only issue at some point will be disabling Google Play but by then it will probably get an upgrade.Update, the corner of the screen smashed when it was dropped prior to us getting a chunky cover, I patched it with sellotape and it carried on working perfectly fine.My 5 year old finds it much easier to use than the Kindle Fire and is gaining some independence with it.I recently purchased a magnetic USB cable as she bent 2 of my good Anker cables. She can now plug it in on her own.

Only 2 years and faulty
Bought this just to use YouTube on a portable device that was bigger than a phone but less bulky than a laptop.Only two years later and now it's stuttering on YouTube and freezes when the charger is plugged in.Don't expect this to last a year. And don't use it for intense work.

A low priced tablet with good performance and battery let down by its worse screen
SummaryI have two of these tablets now. One from at least 2016 and this recent purchase from 2020. Whilst it is a good tablet in that it has a recent version of Android on it and works smoothly, the screen is considerably worse than the previous version.DetailThis version of the E7 tablet runs Android 8 and has increased storage and performance. These are welcome additions to what is a neat, compact and low priced tablet. The volume and power buttons are in useful positions and the battery life seems good or even very good. However this in my opinion is let down by the screen of the device. It has a markedly poor viewing angle and the colour definition and resolution seem poor as well.I have included a photo which shows a side by side comparison with the previous version. Left is the 2020 model, right is the 2016 model. It is hard to capture the issues in a photo but we can clearly see the reduced colour definition and viewing angle issues in the photo.I was also surprised to find that this unit does not have a built in GPS sensor which is a shame and surprising given how useful these are for various tasks including playing games like Pokemon Go.ConclusionI had purchased this tablet for my son to use but in reality the screen is just not good enough. This is a shame because the rest of the tablet is really good. Instead it can serve as an eReader and that task it will do just fine.Would I buy this again? No, I would honestly recommend buying a different model in the same form factor.
