Nexttechnology Ultra Thin Outdoor Solar Panel (100W)

We bought this panel to charge 12v batteries to power accessories on an over landing trip, including a 12 v fridge/freezer. Second day of our trip, we’re not getting any juice from this panel (I’m an electrician by trade, I metered the output). We had it secured to the top of our vehicle using bungees through the corner grommets, laying flat on top of our roof rack. The backing of the panel is quite flexible but apparently the panel itself is not, and cracked, disrupting the circuitry. Incredibly inconvenient to have it fail so early into our trip to the desert (I tested it for 2 weeks before our trip and it performed well). Initiated a return through Amazon as soon as we returned, claiming a defective unit. The seller declined to respond to our return request, eventually closing it with the comment that “technical problem was solved.” NO, it was not!! Amazon did nothing to remedy the situation, so we are out $150 for this piece of crap. Do NOT recommend buying anything from this seller, especially this item!

I am working on building a small solar array for my shed. Right now, I am getting and testing components. This panel got up to 18v in testing (like it was supposed to) with no hesitation. As a test, I used it to charge a 35ah deep cycle gel battery, using an MMPT charge controller. It charged over 50% in less than 1.5 hours. I am happy with this.In the final form, this system will have two of these panels in parallel going in to the controller used for this test going into two of the gel batteries used for this test (also connected in parallel).

Super easy install, I set my controller for 14.2 volts for my batteries and this is keeping my battery topped off , installed this on my race trailer for lights and water pump for washing the bikes and car , my son over in az is liking this and going to install 1 on his motovan to keep everything charged up. Great product at a realy good price with fast shipping. Thanks

This panel worked good for 1 year. Now it no longer charges at all.I contacted the seller and the message I got in return was only a single period (.)Avoid this product and seller.

do not buy! if you do you will be sorry that you did! $550= 4 of this 120 watt solar panel all failed 10 days after the 1 year mark!

not 160 watts only a 100 watt panel do not buy .

Great product. Been keeping me going for months now.
