Ok cheap battery tester. 3.5 star
I tested it on our vehicles because I was exited about this purchase. Vehicle 1. the reason I bought this. Had problems from time to time with it not starting having to jump the batery. First it did not want to test the battery, power was too low I ques but had enough to start truck. Gave it about a 5 min charge and testedTester said soh 11% soc 77% cca 130 out of 650 Replace battery, so i put a trickle charge on about 5hr charged to 100 and tested again. Soh 17% soc 100% cca 170 out of 650. Replace battery. Charge is good but tester was able to tell the battery was still not good even if it starts the truck. I have got stranded a few times bofore this and had to jumpstart so was planning to get a new battery but wanted to make sure.Vehicle 2 has a new battery, about a week old and used car on short trips all week. Tested soh 100% soc 59% cca630 out of a cca590 battery. good battery. So i changed it a little bit and it said 100% on both.Vehicle 3 older battery but no problems with it. It tested soh100% soc 77% cca 690 from a 725cca rated battery. Good battery. Gave it a quick change and it was to 100% cca stayed about the same.Update... Went to change battery and had professional test it. It had 485cca in it not 135 like this tester said so not accurate.Sometimes screen is on but when testing it doesn't work. Take it off wiggle connections on battery and it works. Must have really good connection or you will think it is broken.

Doesn't work correctly on GM side terminal batteries
I bought this unit to test a battery I've been having trouble with. Worked fine on two car batteries with top posts (group 25 and 124r). When I tried it with the two GM cars I own, it failed. Both had side terminals (group 78). One car with a 640 CCA tested battery showed 145 CCA and "replace battery" warning. Autozone showed 585 CCA. Second car had a BRAND NEW 800 CCA Interstate battery, this unit showed 480 CCA "replace battery". Autozone tested and printout shows 875 CCA. Above mfg rating!!

Good Purchase.

Be aware!
Be aware of this garbage, I got mine last week, tested it, and it said that my new battery needed to be replaced. Did not work out for me, you got what you paid for.
