Very expensive for a blank book, but lovely.
The paper is perfect for writing on with a fountain pen. I've had one other cotton-papared book before and it just came apart very easily under the pen, absorbed ink too fast and had loads of bits of flower still left unprocessed, and whilst there is a bit of gack remaining in these pages, it's only really enough to reassure you that you are in fact using cotton paper and haven't had the WOOL pulled over your eyes hahahahaHAHAHA WHO'S PAINFULLY UN-FUNNY NOW, BARBARA?!Ever have that feeling when something is just nice to hold? Like a gun or a tin of spam or a handful of bum? I could hold this book all day, just weighing it in my hand as I stare out the window seeing nothing but the endless loop of our old memories instead of the world outside. Good stuff. Absorbent, too.Leather is nice, no nasty surprises with anything else.The strap could maybe have like a little extra flappy-bit on the end going perpendicular to the rest of it, or something else to keep it from going undone, but it's not that bad without it, and a flappy-bit was not advertised, so I wasn't disappointed by a lack of flappy-bit, it's just a suggestion. Flappy-bit flappy-bit. Flappy bit.Flappy bit.

Beautiful, well made and timeless!
I love this journal. I use it to take notes throughout my day. The leather and paper are high quality and the fact that it's handmade makes it even better! The paper is well bound the to the book. I take it with me everywhere and it has been very durable for my day to day needs. If your are a writer, doodler, or someone who appreciates fine craftsmanship then this journal is a great option for you!

A lovely gift with old paper inside. Care has to be taken not to scratch the leather as it marks easily.
