Toshiba PA3819U-1BRS Extended Capacity Laptop Battery - Premium TechFuel 12-cell, Li-ion Battery (Battery not compatible with Toshiba L755 and P755 Series computers)

This product is as great as everyone says it is! It lasts up to 8 hours and allows me to be truly mobile. The extra thickness raises up my laptop and creates a breathable space to keep my 'puter cooler. I don't know why I waited so long to get it, frankly! FYI, I killed my original Li-Ion battery in my Toshiba Satellite laptop after less than a year, because I did everything wrong... I left it plugged in, so the battery was constantly charging (a no-no), I used it on my lap which let it to get too hot (heat kills your Li-Ion battery, people!), and I let the battery discharge to 0% every time (another battery killer). When I got this new Li-Ion battery, I googled "extend laptop battery lifetime," and I am proud to say I am doing everything right to care for this battery! Helpful hint: When you get the new battery, don't throw away your old dead one! Keep it in your computer for when you're sitting at home, plugged into your AC. This will keep the battery contacts free from dust. Store your new extended capacity Li-Ion batt in the fridge (after following whatever charging recommendations the package recommends!) In amazon tradition, the package arrived on time and in good condition. If you are replacing a traditional original battery, you will notice that this one elevates the rear of your notebook. That's good, as it allows more cooling. It also about doubles your unplugged time. If your are replacing an extended battery that is old and tired, you will be impressed with this alternative. I delayed this review for more than a year, so that my comments were not premature. This battery is as good or better than my previous extended battery.Every item has a down or dark side . . . and I make a point to reveal them in every review. So far, I haven't found one on this battery.

This battery worked great at first. I followed the instructions on how to maximize the charge and it had a very long battery life which was nice. Then my computer started turning off randomly while I was using the battery, as if it had just died, even though the battery level on my screen would say otherwise. Then my computer stopped turning on at all. Freaked out, I threw my old battery back in and my computer turned on like normal. And I haven't had an abnormal shutdown since. So it was definitely the battery. I'm very disappointed that I wasted my money on this and now I am being told that I missed the window to return it by two days. Not happy.

I bought this in 2018, it lasted probably 10 months then it wouldn't hold a charge. Now, whenever I need to use my laptop I have to wait for it to recharge enough to start the computer. As I said, this battery is not as good as the OEM that came with my Toshiba laptop and I consider it as a waste of money. Could you imagine having to replace your phone battery or car battery every 10 months.

Ordered this about a month or so ago - slapped it on and it gave me exactly what I was looking for. My Toshiba laptop, with the original 6-cell battery, seemed to drain that battery so fast. This gives me all the juice I need, and still charges in an acceptable time.I'd say the only con, if there is one, is that the batter is twice as thick as the 6-cell - but this is for obvious reasons. You can't be a double-cheese burger and have it the same size as a single cheese burger. :P So again, not really a con, but just be prepared to have the battery not flush against the bottom of the laptop.They did plan ahead, however, and put little rubber feet on the bottom of the battery. So even though it will stick out a bit on the bottom, the rubber feet keep it stable. All-in-all great battery - I'd recommend it to anyone looking for that extra juice.

This TechFuel battery lasted for about 21 months on a Toshiba Satellite A665-S6094. The battery started acting flaky about 2 or 3 months ago--- it would suddenly shut off laptop when the battery charge got low instead of displaying a message saying "10 minutes charge remaining." Finally, the battery stopped charging completely. I confirmed it was the battery by temporarily putting a new battery into the laptop. Once temporary was put in, laptop again worked fine with temporary battery again communicating low power message to laptop and battery charging properly. I use laptop for work and travel but laptop battery was not often drawn down to near empty, as I usually had it plugged-in. Compared to the battery that originally came with my laptop, this TechFuel battery lasted about half as long as the original battery.

UPDATE - After writing my original review below I contact the seller who did get back to me quickly and informed that the battery, if found to be defective, would be replaced under warranty. I did have to pay for the shipping cost (<$10)to return to the seller. But they did respond quickly and sent me a new battery within a few weeks that is working fine now.Original Review:This was a great battery for 10 months - it still held a long charge, several hours at least. Then randomly this week it died. The computer wouldn't even turn on when plugged in and this battery in. Luckily I saved the old battery, which only lasts 30 min, but does the trick for the time being.If you buy this just be prepared to buy another in less than a year.

Battery was a bit of a tight fit in my A665 Toshiba Satellite, but it fit none the less and is secure in the computer once the locks are in place. The battery seems very solid and well built and looks just like factory. The included instructions are great for letting you know how to get the best overall life out of your battery. I'm currently on my first full discharge and the battery life is great - to see the least. Highly recommend!
