I make my 18x18 pillow covers so that they are 16x16 to give the pillow the poof. They then fit an 18x18 pillow form purchased from the store like a dream. This fabric is very durable. It is stain, water, and fade resistant to 500 plus UV hours. I love that you can zip these covers off and throw them in the washing machine. Lay Flat to dry.

Your recommendation to put the 18 inch insert pillow in a 16 inch cover is not great. I broke 2 fingernails trying to stuff it in. The zipper almost tore, not a great zipper. When it was done it was so poufy that it was not comfortable to lean back on. I wanted this for a patio cushion to either lean on or sit on.The reason I gave it stars was that I like the print. I will have to find a smaller insert in order to fix this.

You don't get the fabric you choose so be flexible. It costs more to send back then what it does to purchase, so be willing to accept whatever you receive.
